  1. I'm just trying to show you how ridiculous your position is. Gunnar is fine, he's in a period of adjustment that most players go through. The idea that bringing up someone that is no where nearly as highly regarded and he's not going to have similar issues is unlikely. It makes no sense to burn a 40 man roster spot to replace Gunnar with Westburg, it's grasping at straws and reeks of desperation.
  2. Well gosh, we don't know what Creed Williems would do at the ML level, let's promote him and see! Yesterday Gunnar's OPS+ was 102. He's fine. I have no issue at all with promoting Westburg, but not at the expense of Gunnar, it's a process, he needs ML reps.
  3. Because it's a thought exercise. When comparing Westburg and Henderson you have to factor in their age and level of competition. Just because a significantly older player (and three years is a lot) is putting up better numbers versus inferior opposition does not mean they are the better option. Lou Montanez put up a triple crown season in AA once, didn't make him a real prospect. (not saying Westburg isn't a real prospect)
  4. Because you are comparing player A who is three years older, and playing at a lower level than player B. These things make a huge difference. If they had a 30 year old putting up huge numbers in A ball would you want them up?
  5. He's three years older. That makes a huge difference. If you were a GM and could acquire one of the two are you saying you'd choose Westburg?
  6. Who is an Ace in your opinion? Any of them going to be on the market?
  7. I noticed the other day that Adley's WAR is odd. They must be pretty unhappy with his defense.
  8. Yea, just going to call this out as an actual falsehood. Not sure if you know it's untrue or just didn't bother to spend 20 seconds looking before you posted. Career home/road splits: Home 2.85 K/BB Road 3.19 K/BB Home 53 walks in 219 IP Road 47 walks in 198.1 IP Yes I'm including the 12.2 innings he pitched in Baltimore this year. I said 20 seconds not a minute and a half.
  9. The metrics don't support it is a great excuse for inactivity.
  10. Do you even read what you post? You just said that you think HOLT will improve the pitchers, you then minutes later said something else. So which is it? Can the Wizard improve the pitchers or not? I thought your view was that the pitchers would build off the amazing gains last season and under The Wizard's tutelage be even better this year. I wasn't expecting you to be advocating for new personnel in May due to Holt not be able to get high level performances out of them.
  11. He won't be making the pitchers better if Elias just replaces the current pitchers with better ones.
  12. I'd bet that someone is assigned to keep track of it, even if it is an intern or an entry level position.
  13. I think he's only a "pretty big disappointment" for those people that had unrealistic expectations to begin with. Replacement level over 6 starts with a ton of strikeouts. That is not a result that greatly surprises me.
  14. That depends on the contract situation of the pitcher in question.
  15. Matt Harvey- Goodbye, baseball. And thank you. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr3NbYHu4Zf/?hl=en
