Bat speed is at 73.9, good but not great. For a guy with no speed or positional value I'd like to see more red with the bat. I don't think this is the time or the place to see if they can fix him.

I didn't say easy. I didn't say they didn't give up value. But how wasn't it safe? Trading depth for a proven pitcher on a one year deal. That's safe.

I loved the Burnes trade but come on, it was a safe move. He traded depth and only took on a one year commitment.

How many guys did well in 2021 and are out of the majors in 2024? That's a lifetime ago in professional sports. This trade isn't betting on a return to 2021.
