  1. Rebuilding teams do want role players. They have rosters to fill out. A guy they can plug into the lineup tomorrow has value to a rebuilding team. Norby have over a thousand AAA PA. You think he's still "developing"? There is a thing called diminishing returns.
  2. This isn't football. But have been jumped on your depth chart, what makes you think hey won't be again? Frazier was brought in to play the position Norby plays.
  3. So the other contending clubs need role players/platoon players? So why are they more valuable to the O's? Elias seems disinterested in playing either Stowers or Norby, I see no reason that trend won't continue.
  4. Shouldn't the Orioles, as a contending team, want high ceiling players versus dudes that will be role players? What value have Stowers and Norby provided the 2023 and 2024 teams? Why should 2025 be different?

  6. Interesting to me since this was viewed as a weak draft. Did they bump up the pool monies by a substantial amount?
  7. But how many pitches did he see?
  8. The lady I know that works for them was unhappy. She did get to travel with the team a few weeks ago, that was pretty cool.
  9. The Rays held a stadium employee meeting right before the ASG HR derby. And then didn't show it on the jumbotron for them.
  10. Can we keep it two threads?
  11. He was factually incorrect when he said I was 60 and relied on old school stats. I told him he was incorrect. Not a peep. Just my personal experience.
  12. Has nothing to do with how I feel. This isn't my board, I'm not a mod here. I was just informing you of one of the board rules you might be unfamiliar with. I find it funny how you don't want "personal attacks" but you lied about me the other day. But whatever, I'm not going to ignore you because I don't want your bad takes to gain ground.
  13. Thank goodness he was, if he hadn't they might have been swept!
  14. Oh that's interesting. You know that if you are banned and make a new account to circumvent the ban that's a bannable offense?
  15. It's hard to come into a conversation and present a point you supposedly made a decade ago and be wrong. You know that back in 1991 I told everyone that the Glen Davis trade was a terrible idea. I said that Finley was suddenly going to start hitting for power for no discernible reason and that Schilling was a borderline HoF pitcher. There wasn't much of an Internet back then so you will just have to believe me.
  16. If they decline the option and he was otherwise eligible to be hit with the QO he could be tagged. The issue with Kimbrel is he has previously been tagged with a QO. (that and he'd take it)
  17. What cheap controllable pitching have they been trading prospects for? I loved the Burnes trade but that was two well regarded players for one season. That's not infinitely repeatable.
  18. If you don't pay for them with money you have to pay for their annual replacements in prospects.
  19. They do. Not sure what that has to do with a QO.
  20. Looks to me like, out of the two teams, it's the O's that are printing money for the owner. Eleventh in revenue isn't all the impressive.
  21. I think they are paying 110% penalty, seems more than nominal to me. That would put Fuji at ~7M. Hard to know what numbers are accurate but I think they are paying well over 100M in penalties.
  22. Right, it's more for them since they are in the penalty.
  23. I knew he had. I wasn't sure on the timing and if it was retroactive.
  24. I'm not even sure you could offer Kimbrel one.
