I think all the Mayo fans all going to be unhappy when they see his play at 3B. Think how much Urias' play cost us at 3B. Urias is usually rock steady at 3B. He probably makes like 2 of those plays a season. Now imagine one of those plays every week. I'm a big fan of Mayo's bat, but I don't think his defense is MLB ready.

Bichette and Vlad Jr sort of screwed themselves because Toronto would have been happy to lock them up for a long time. Now they're both probably looking at some Bellinger type deals. I know, your heart bleeds for them.

The Reds in the 1970 WS had a strategy of trying to not hit anything to the 3B side of the infield after seeing that anything hit that way would be fielded. It didn't work, but it was their strategy at one point in the World Series.

Like he doesn't belong out there. Luckily there haven't been any plays to screw up yet. He let the lead off double this inning roll by him to the wall. It was going to be a double anyway. Maybe a speedy runner could have turned it into a triple.

Not signing if Elias/the O's had drafted Jones would have been a really bad decision. How much more money can you get than being the #1 pick. There was evidence that Jones/father were demanding slot/above. I don't know how much that factored into the decision. I believe that Elias picked Holliday because he thought Holliday would be the best mlb player. It could be something that Jones/father said after the fact to sooth their hurt feelings over not being drafted #1. OP, did you that Jones wouldn't sign with O's before the draft?

Is Mullins dealing with an injury? Even if he gives you nothing with the bat, he's probably a positive with the glove. Some people say O'Hearn should never play any OF. But O'Hearn should never, never play LF at Camden Yards. Did Buck make out this lineup? I hope this doesn't go abysmally wrong.

Westburg and Irvin. Westburg can be added to the core going forward. I think most of us, me included wanted to put Irvin in the bullpen when we talked about the rotation. After the trade for Burnes, Irvin was definitely there. When Means and Bradish started the year on the IL, it was how long until Irvin can go to the bullpen. Right now it's hard to say Irvin is less than #2 on the rotation.
