  1. Thread bump. This Friday, May 19th is on Apple TV.
  2. I didn't see it, but I heard it on the radio. Sort of feeling like an Orioles fan again.
  3. I saw the Orioles play there in 2019, and they lost. The stadium wasn't bad, seemed renovated and up to date. The concourses at least on the lower level were open. We sat down the left field line under the second level in the shade. I remember the scoreboard being massive.
  4. This is 100 spot on. My dad took me to my first game in 1988 and I've been on the birdland express ever since. The train has been derailed, or stuck at the station, for most of the years I've been watching. Plenty of dreadful seasons with a few sprinkles of joy. Hopefully the pendulum is swinging towards an extended period of winning.
  5. I took my young son to his first Orioles game at Camden Yards today, we had a blast. The Russell St exit was backed up on i95 almost a mile from the exit (worst backup in 32 seasons taking that exit), so I had to take an alternate route via the South Hanover St exit and we took a tour of South Baltimore on our way to lot H. Once we got to the parking lot it was pure insanity. The parking lot attendants didn't at all seem prepared for the crowds, clearly not enough people scanning the parking passes. We got to the park at 1:30, just in time for the first pitch. It had to have been the largest Sunday day-game crowd in a very long time, almost 37k. I was looking for a certificate for my sons first game and customer service gave us a nice "Today is My First Orioles Game!" button with the date on it the front. Very cool. We stayed the entire game, and my son ran the bases afterwards. Highly recommend that to anyone that hasn't done it. It was special watching my son run the bases, and we grabbed a picture together. All and all a perfect day at the park, (thankfully not for E-Rod, who carried a perfect game into the 7th). O's win was icing on the cake. Thanks to the Orioles organization for a great day.
  6. He sped up to slow down on a rapidly dying ball....
  7. Last evening I attended my 11th Orioles game in either Nats Park or RFK, (12 if you count the spring training game I saw at RFK in 1992 vs the Red Sox). The weather was fantastic and so was the outcome of the game. Plenty of Orioles fans in the stands, I'd venture to say it was at least 50/50 O's, maybe more. Half St. appears to be most finished too after all these years.
  8. Averaging 21,181 after seven games.
  9. There were many years where the speakers were so loud that you could not have a conversation with the person sitting next to you, especially in between innings, or with batter intro songs. I may be outnumbered on this, but I like the volume turned down.
  10. I can't believe how long folks are willing to wait in line to then overpay for mediocre ballpark food. The lines yesterday were insane, granted it was a sellout. Save time and money by eating before or after the game at home, or at one of the many places outside of the ballpark. Shout out to Jimmy Johns on West Pratt St as my go-to before most games. The renovated Cross Street Market also has lots of inexpensive food options and is less than a mile from the stadium.
  11. If I'm remembering correctly, last year it was 79 for the first three months, then increased after that.
  12. Anyone going to the home opener? Weather looks great, should be in the 70s. I thought about going up, but it's $57 to get a standing room only ticket.
  13. I see that on the O's website now. Adding in the fees for buying online, the $10 seats are actually $12.75 and the $15 seats are $18.75.
  14. I thought they were offering $10 bleacher seats for all Monday-Thursday games the entire season? Can you walk up and buy these at the gate the day of the game or do you have to buy online and add all the hidden fees?
