  1. I rarely attend night games anymore, so this is perfect for me.
  2. 13 of 14 Saturday games are at 4:05.
  3. It's around $100 per month for DTV Stream. Plus your cable internet package, which varies from $50-80/month depending on where you live. So a minimum of $150/month if you want to stream MASN in-market. I agree, it doesn't seem like a great reason to cut the cord.
  4. DTV Stream is a streaming service, all you need is an internet connection. It's the only in-market option for chord cutters to get MASN. It's expensive though. You are still looking at roughly $150/month for DTV Stream combined with an internet package. Almost makes more sense to keep the cable package.
  5. I bought tickets for those two games as well and no refund yet. Someone mentioned in an earlier thread that the refunds will be posted on/by October 25th.
  6. The Orioles have lost 8 straight post-season games dating back to 2014. So a good start would be to win a playoff game, and a playoff series. Anything less than that is a disappointment IMO.
  7. I was at Game 2 of the 2012 ALDS and at the 2014 Delmon game with my Dad. Hard to top those games, my ears are still ringing. Hoping for a miracle comeback in Texas to set up game 5 in Baltimore on Friday. I will put my 8 game (in person) winning streak on the line if they make it that far.
  8. That's why I said I'd like to believe. It's not a slam dunk, but it's not out of the question either. There are lots of baseball fans in the DMV, and I think most would be flocking to Camden Yards right now (sans Nats), especially those from NOVA, Montgomery County, and Southern Maryland, that abandoned the Orioles after the Expos arrived.
  9. The losing and poor on field product has hurt, but from 2012-2016 both teams were enjoying an upswing in the standings, with multiple post-season appearances. The Orioles were outdrawn every season during that stretch. This season (and into last season), the Orioles have been enjoying one of their best stretches of baseball in 40 plus years. The Nats on the other hand have been flat out awful since 2020, and yet they are drawing about the same number of fans, this season. If the Orioles were the only game in town, they most certainly would be drawing better.
  10. The Orioles will outdraw the Nats in attendance this season for the first time since 2009, but just barely. I would like to believe we would easily be drawing in the high 30's each game had they stayed in Montreal. https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance
  11. Rays stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
  12. I went long odds with two tickets to home game 4 of the ALCS. Pretty certain O's would need to win the AL east, win the ALDS, and then get to game 7 of the ALCS.
  13. It most certainly was. Nice pull!
  14. In that case, I'll be watching the Terps UVA football game on FS1 and listening to the O's game on the radio.
  15. FOX broadcasting a baseball game on Thursday eve? How long have they been doing this?
  16. If you are in-market, you can get Paramount Plus (CBS) which broadcasts 8 of the Ravens games for $5/month. I can get a majority of the remaining games free (FOX and NBC) on my indoor HD antenna.
  17. I always liked BU, very pleasant and approachable. My dad took us to a spring game in the early 90's, I believe it was at Al Lang Stadium (current home of the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL). Long story short Uecker was broadcasting the game and he autographed for my brother and I before first pitch from the booth. It was one of the first autographs we got as young baseball fans.
  18. Interesting article on WTOP https://wtop.com/baltimore-orioles/2023/08/state-high-on-sealing-deal-with-orioles-but-light-on-specifics/
  19. Nice job by DLH tonight. I was up in section 308 with my brother, very encouraging performance.
  20. JC, maybe in batting practice. No one has hit one into the third deck during a game. A few have made it to the club level in left during a game. Rex Hutler, Mark Reynolds, Manny, and Hays come to mind
