Especially because of where the team is right now, I see no reason to put him into a BP only role. As a starter, his stuff plays much better than Wells. Wells has been optioned, give Akin some more starts. One good outing doesn’t mean he’s a better BP option. It could, I just see no reason to limit it to that.

Let him start no matter what because the team sucks? 2. Lopez is eating innings (sometimes) and they need people to do that, so may as well let him keep going out there. 3. Higher draft pick! Lopez gets them closer.

Agreed. He looks like he’s trusting the FB more and that’s good. He’s at 95-98 mph with good armside run and sink. It’s a nasty pitch. He can throw it down and in to a RHB or really anywhere to lefty.

He’s a whiny jerk. Gets hit a lot and I’ve seen him have a reaction like it’s because the pitcher is throwing at him. He started barking at Suzuki one time who was defending Ohtani. Ohtani! Not only was it ridiculous because of the game situation, Ohtani is maybe the least likely guy to be throwing at anyone.
