  1. I think the reason for Kimbrel there is it was the bottom of the order.
  2. Some were suggesting they move Grayson in that role in September. Irvin probably isn't really as good as he's showing right now so he goes to the pen for now. That could be a win/win.
  3. I am tempted to have Grayson close. I realize it's crazy and already got flamed for suggesting it but the rotation seems really good right now and Grayson could be exactly what we need to win the WS this year.
  4. Cano is the 7th-8th inning MOO guy. This isn't quite that. Suarez is moving up the hierarchy though.
  5. I hate the six man rotation. Pick your top five and pitch them as much as you can. Keep as many arms in the bullpen as possible.
  6. How can we take Irvin out of the rotation when Grayson comes back? He is dominating.
  7. I see no reason he shouldn't hit his career average .740. Maybe a little lower to account for the league environment trending down. He has hit well in his rehab assignment and Hyde has the flexibility to give him advantageous matchups. He should get all of McKenna's AB's plus stealing a few here and there from Cowser and Santander.
  8. FYI it's Kremer, not Kramer. I think Krispy Kremer cause it's like the donut.
  9. I mean, Kimbrel got two outs. Akin just needs an out to get a save. He should convert that 75% of the time. I have no problem with Akin getting a BS there. I agree, if there is a negative version of "quality start" for relief appearances, Kimbrel definitely deserves one of those.
  10. That sucks. If you have a "where's my phone" app I would be curious where.it ends up.
  11. Hyde is smart to use Cano for the highest leverage outs rather than the saves. I'd like to see Cano, Webb, Coulombe, and Suarez all getting chances depending on matchups.
  12. I really thought about Suarez. We should have been done in the 10th and he came in and dominated. He would have been an easy choice if he could have nailed down the save in the 11th. Good point about the throw though.
  13. I thought it was weak and unprofessional of him to literally pound sand after giving up the walk. There may be physical stuff going on but the physical stuff has affected his confidence..If he was mentally 100% he wouldn't be letting his emotions show like that.
  14. Also he got nothing on that throw
  15. 5/8 7-6 (12) @ Nationals: Nobody really stands out in this game but I will go with Webb for *finally* closing the game after Kimbrel/Akin and Suarez both failed to hold leads. Webb allowed a ghost runner to score on a leadoff hit but looked dominant from there.
  16. Hopefully Webb before Baumann but I would leave Suarez in.
  17. I'm on the Suarez bandwagon too. Maybe not forever but ride the hot hand to give Kimbrel some time to work his way back.
  18. I mean why didn't the Nats bunt their guy? When we failed to score, a bunt and sac fly wins it.
  19. Holy sh*t Suarez might get us another chance.
