Interesting that you say that. About two months ago, the O’s run differential was around 50-something. Last I looked, they have almost tripled that. And of course, the Braves’ is over 200, I think.
I see the O’s pitching coach with those glasses and his notes and he looks like he should have been working on the Manhattan Project. (Edit: Give that man a raise)
Oh, and Gunnnnaaar!
Someone posted about this one last month in another thread. How about a cool million clams instead?https://www.mlb.com/video/roenicke-s-million-dollar-slam
With Kevin talking about the tie-breaker with TB, and how a series win by either team could be a dramatic turn, it reminded me of how the O’s had to win four in a row to overtake the Brewers in ‘82. I had forgotten that the final game was actually game 163 and that it was a make up for a tie of all things from June. They had gone nine innings in that June game and the rain came in and would not let up. I had totally forgotten that aspect of it.
If this is the same front that passed through NC earlier today, there may be some heavy rain on the way. Or has it already come and gone? Those watching the early part of the Notre Dame at NC State game know what I mean. We even lost power in Durham.
Edited to add: I forgot the game is in Boston. Duh. But it looks like what came through here and maybe about to hit Baltimore is on the way north.
Very cool. You are really Jimmy Page, right? Some of your designs have a flair of that kind of vibe. Here’s the old '68 - '69 era Led Zep Dragon Telecaster.
