  1. You mean no other team wanted him? I'm shocked I tell you, shocked! The only question is, if he survives through the camp. They have a lot of options in the minors now.
  2. They don't need anyone for depth at this point. This is an excerpt from the thread about signing Carlos Perez: "I wonder if this eliminates them from attempting to re-sign Caleb? I'm also going to work with the assumption that Susac doesn't make it out of Spring Training. Perhaps the depth chart will look a bit like this: Baltimore: Perez/Wynns (split) Norfolk: Sisco/Brockmeyer (Sisco starts, Brockmeyer is depth) Bowie: Cervenka/Fajardo (Cervenka starts, but can move up quickly) But if they get Caleb back... Baltimore: Joseph/Wynns Norfolk: Sisco/Perez Bowie: Cervenka/Brockmeyer Only putting Sisco in Norfolk so he can get more at bats and playing time instead of working in a split role. The only thing that I could see changing that is either injury, or they carry 3 catchers and have Sisco DH'ing on days he doesn't catch, with Cervenka in Norfolk." Now, if they do add someone like a Maldonado, Vogt, ect, replace "Joseph" with their name. But again, not entirely needed.
  3. This is the second he was was put on waivers (claimed by the Yankees the first time this off season.) I wonder why the Orioles didn't pick him up that time, but I'm not sure if it was before or after Elias and Hyde were hired.
  4. What's funny is, the majority of them are players that made their debut in the last 2 seasons: Means, Fry, Sisco, Stewart, Hays...
  5. Are the Orioles sponsored by Kay Jewelers or something? I think there have been about 15 weddings and just as many engagements by Orioles players (on the 40) and in the system.
  6. Really wish they would have a foot race in Spring Training between McKenna, Hall, Moesquit, and Mullins.
  7. Mesiginer DFA'ed by Cardinals. Bridwell claimed by Angeld after being DFA'ed by Yankees.
  8. They also picked up another infielder for International money, so maybe some competition there.
  9. I actually went back and read @Tony-OH old prospect reports on Sisco in 2014 and 2015. Both times he mentions a lack of bat speed and in one of the articles, mentions how Sisco would have trouble catching up to fastballs in the top ranks. Tony also mentions how Sisco would mainly go opposite field. I wonder if that was due to bat speed or just the hitting style? Let's see if he has a different swing path or stance in the Spring.
  10. Meisinger coming off the 40 instead of several others is surprising.
  11. In random off season news, Sisco tied the knot today. Maybe that was the issue this year? Worried about if the team was going to get him some candlesticks, a place setting or a silverware pattern?
  12. I think his injuries last season had something to do with that.
  13. I think he could be a 4th starter on the team. His stats last season say that he had a good first couple of games, then the league adjusted to him once some tape was out. Then he made some adjustments over the last 9 games.
  14. @Tony-OH and @Luke-OH Just out of curiosity, where would you rank the players that played that season that lost their "prospect" status or might not appear on the list? Mullins, Wynns, Sisco, Fry, Hess, Wilkerson, Nunez, Rameriez (Jefri), Arajuo, Santander, Mesinger, ect?
  15. Framing is only useful when the pitchers actually get the ball near the plate.
  16. Imagine the look on Corns face when "Jack Zoellner Bobblehead Night" happens.
  17. Pearce seems like the type of guy that will drive the truck back to Boston for the parade.
  18. As he walked away, he turned to say more. Since he had to speak up, he Yelich'ed.
  19. That Steve Pearce dude seems good. Orioles should of traded a catcher from Frederick for him this season...
  20. I don't expect him on any ALCS roster either.
