I wonder if they will review it and change it to an error on Villar? Last season, Wynns threw a ball down to Nunez on a steal of third and Nunez whiffed on the catch completely. The error went to Wynns until they reviewed it the next day and saw Nunez let it go by.
One of the biggest questions when the roster came out was how Hall and Greiner would be used. With Hall at 2nd in the first game, he could be moved there or they could alternate.
It will be worth keeping an eye on, especially if Hall has the hot bat.
One of those plays was the Danny Jansen "stumble out of the box" play. Ruiz seemed to think that gave him more time and he gloved it instead of bare handed it.
I didn't see the error at the start, but maybe he took a little extra time to get the throw on target the rest of the game and that is what cost him?
Whoever it was, it was dangerous when he slid spikes up and Rickard was diving in face first. Luckily, Rickard slid on the outside and avoided a face full of cleat.
Means hung in there very well. These are the types of bullpen appearances they need this season.
I think he was left in too long, as he was using a lot of pitches to get outs and ended up hanging a change up that had been spotted and super effective up to that point.
"The rules of the DL will remain the same. The list has gone through different incarnations since its institution in 1966 and today includes a 10-day version for short-term injuries and a 60-day version for more severe ailments."
