I didn’t act like it’s always the case. Guess I should have made the comment “sometimes a better option” in bold so you could read it and not just assume something. Especially in a case like Urias, who, like you said, was slumping and had inconsistent playing time. Some players need a reset in a lower stress environment. Some are just running into bad luck.

Orioles recalled Shaun Anderson from Norfolk and sent Lowther back. Lowther probably doesn’t need a GPS for the shuttle anymore. Anderson was a waiver claim on July 3rd from the Rangers.

I mentioned him in a previous thread, but keep an eye on him. 23rd round 2019 selection from Ole Miss and was (is?) a starter but has been piggybacking Zach Peek the last 6 or so games. Tonight, he went 4.2 innings and only allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks and 7 strike outs, earning the save. This follows up a few similar games where he went 4 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 0 walks, 4 k's and 4 innings, 0 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk and 7 k's, respectively. He's had a few rough games here and there, but overall has been as consistent as you want from an A ball pitcher.

Or the outfield playing so far in on the bases loaded fly ball. You play back to avoid the deep fly ball landing like it did.
