I fully get being skeptical. But the poster was pretty much saying "Sisco had better minor league numbers, so he needs to start instead." Which is just stupid to me, unless/until Severino gets traded or falls totally flat. I'll take "anyone that pitched" for $100. Though Cobb did seem to get better with each start with Wynns (including the complete game in Cleveland.)

What does what he did in the minors have to do with how they are currently producing in the majors?

Baumann is making his Bowie debut, replacing Dean Kremer to start the 6th. Let's see if he finishes this game out.

Game calling and framing aside, his throws have been awful and so have his mental lapses. His 1 "caught stealing" was from the runner sliding off the base and has 3 errors so far. One probably should of been on Villar for missing the catch too, but the throw was also poor, along with his "tag him high" play in Oakland. I don't know if I would try him at 3rd with his throwing.

There is more to catching than just what you do with the bat. Unless you are Mike Piazza. If the first time you are seeing him play is in the majors, then there isn't as much to go on. When you have seen him play since Frederick (or earlier) and watch his defense production over a whole season, then you really start noticing things.

Yay, he tore up the GCL, Short Season, A, A+, and had a good AA showing and what amounts to a fullish season at Norfolk (where he has had 1 good month.) Good for him. He wouldn't be the first player to tear up the low minors then struggle. And no, I'm not writing him off right now. But the things that were concerns in low ball (defensive) and upper minors (hitting) still appear. Even if he did change his approach and had success in Norfolk recently, there is still tweaking for the majors.

Remind me his "tearing up" any league he was in last year, other than the Grapefruit League. He had a got hot for a month and a half in AAA this year. He has also been noted a defensive liability since early in his career, which was given some leeway because he was new to the position. It isn't like people are just picking things up out of nowhere. You and I have had numerous discussions. But his tagging concerns me too and his throws so far. His 1 "caught stealing" is because the guy slid off the bag. I haven't seen a good throw from him yet and the throw to Davis last night was just awful. Maybe "old" Davis makes that scoop though, but he didn't really give him a shot. Now, he has had all of 25 at bats in the majors, so not many games. If he is still making these mistakes in late July, then it becomes a much, much larger issue.

Hall was pulled after 0.2 innings today.

One thing I'm finding interesting is his progression to hitting the ball the other way as he has climbed the ladder. Is he sitting back more and going the other way, having a slow bat and getting the bat on the ball, or is it something he really worked on big time?

If they all have to undergo the "Orioles Physical," they will all be deadline signings...

I could care less if, on June 30th, they trade all the remaining money for Jack Zoellner's brother. Corn did have a good point. Is there another team the Orioles have had more "for International Money" trades with than Philadelphia?

Based on the skimming of his reports, he is just a filler/guy with an arm. He can locate pitches, but none of them are particularly good (or as @Luke-OH says: "plus pitches.") Has a high ERA and WHIP. Maybe they think analytics can help him?
