  1. That's amazing that the O's only have 1 day off for the entire month of June. And it's especially weird that they have 2 days off this week when they are only traveling from Baltimore to DC and back.
  2. Also Corbin Carroll. Last year he batted .285 with 10 triples & 25 homers and won NL Rookie of the Year. So far this year he's batting .194 with no triples & 1 homer (& only 5 RBI).
  3. Possibly, because I watch MASN on Comcast and I've never noticed a volume issue with the pre or post-game shows.
  4. I'm not sure that Hyde was unaware of the overuse of Kimbrel. It's possible that he just didn't want to say it out loud publicly.
  5. And to add insult to injury, they're showing another game from 2020 with empty stands. Very depressing to watch.
  6. I just checked the radar and it looks like the rain should be ending there soon. So I'm pretty confident there will be a game tonight.

Hyde has trouble pronouncing Urias and Santander, so I'll go with KB on this one.

As the expression goes, "you learn something new every day." I didn't realize that, so thanks for clarifying.

Again tonight Kevin showed that he doesn't understand the 3-batter minimum rule for pitchers. Cionel pitched to one batter & ended the 6th inning, but in the 7th Kevin said that Cionel still needs to face 2 batters. I'm surprised that someone hasn't pointed out to him that once you end the inning, the 3-batter minimum no longer applies.
  10. And they optioned Tate to make room for Cionel.
  11. From Roch: "Craig Kimbrel is feeling better. Day to day"
  12. From what I remember, Pillar had many big hits against us over the years.
  13. But unlike last year, we have a losing record in 1-run games. And amazingly the A's have a winning record in 1-run games (according to the stats that Kevin Brown mentioned today).
  14. The Pittsburgh series wasn't much better. Lost in extra innings in one of the games, and Cano blew a save in the bottom of the 9th in the rubber game.
  15. Even Kevin Brown acknowledged during today's telecast that it's not sustainable to use Cano and others in more than 50% of the games, which is what they are currently doing.

I like Kevin Brown at lot, but at times he seems confused about the 3-batter minimum for pitchers. Several times recently he gave the impression that he didn't understand that if a pitcher faces one batter and finishes the inning, he doesn't have to come back to face 2 more batters in the next inning. Also, today his soccer discussion went on way too long. If we're watching a baseball game, he shouldn't assume that the viewers have any interest in or understanding of a different sport.
  17. Roch must have known something, because McKenna was just promoted (corresponding move for Holliday being optioned).
  18. Correct, although they probably feel there's a good chance he would clear waivers again.
  19. Kemp signed a minor league deal with the Twins yesterday, and the O's DFA'd Soto yesterday.
  20. I also agree about the national broadcast comment. When I listened to Wagner in ST, I remember him referring to the team multiple times as "Baltimore" instead of "the Orioles."
  21. He was specifically referring to the Gary Sanchez homer on Friday night. He noticed that Sanchez was late on a fastball on the previous pitch, but then on the next pitch (high fastball) hit it as if he knew what was coming. I don't know if there's any merit to his statement, but it was interesting that he said that.
  22. And now Ramirez might pitch against Hoskins at some point this weekend.
  23. From Roch on Twitter: "Hyde and McCann keeping incident in-house. McCann said his issue wasn’t with Adames"
  24. From what I've read, his wife will be going with him wherever he goes. So I absolutely expect that she will be living with him.
