  1. It only gets better…starting tomorrow for the rookie! Maybe
  2. Want to see how this team bounces back from this point forward
  3. Yes…wish we had insight into what offers were made to FA SP. Boras chimed in a bit, but I would rather know that Bassit turned down an $18m per 3 year offer, verses speculation.
  4. The O’s are in a competitive orbit, after liftoff!
  5. Expecting some continued success with the bats, contributions across the the team. They are starting to gel
  6. Without reading the responses on this thread, my answer on the last one stays…Eric Bedard b/n ‘06-‘07….and Eric Davis SSS from the 90’s
  7. Unless there is an injury, I expect Means to follow Grayson, Wells, Hall as part of an opener strategy (Hall too). This will enable a longer stretch of good performances, while saving innings for the playoff competition
  8. After 4 days of rest, it was a good time to get back into game action. Over use of Adley and the Mountain is a concern!
  9. Love how the seeds keep getting tossed on Wells during his in game interview
  10. A pattern is starting! Last year was a welcome surprise, but now we are seeing the Orioles continue to be a well run organization for success.
  11. Mateo has a 1.1 bref war so far this season and has 3 years of control. Only trade this guy when you have proven replacements, and a 1-3 SP packaged return. This may be why the O’s got Frazier, for analytical depth: Gunner’s second year, Urias, and no proven mlb experience with prospects
  12. Any word how Ramon is doing after the HBP? Hope he is well!!
  13. I think of Bryce Harper regarding Henderson’s patience at the plate and not getting pitches to hit. Not an expert but the there is a reason pitchers would rather miss off the corners, then on the plate. this has to be very frustrating for a rookie…chomping at the bit with very little to hit
  14. Please merge this thread with Wilcards thread from spring training. The Orioles might bring out the hr hose, if we do this!
  15. Tyler Wells is a SP, mid rotation caliber if injuries are overcome. Want to merge a thread I created with this one, c”renamed Tyler Wells 2023, in collaboration
  16. Love the bullpen interview with Danny. I want my car breaks to blow the horn!
  17. Ryan’s second hit of the game was on a pitch well below the strike zone. Yet he stuck with the off speed pitch and lined an rbi single. Pretty impressive awareness and game impact with last night’s plate appearances, including the sac fly. Hope this is a sign of continued growth and consistency
  18. There seems to be too much: it was close enough that the umpire could not make the right call, yet the right call is up to the review to say we cannot tell. If it’s a tie, okay, otherwise call the one time review correctly
  19. Wish they replayed that Adley SO called by the 3b ump
  20. Stowers Off one of the best relievers in the game. HR outside corner strike just a perfect hit: https://youtu.be/Ge_I7LutioA
  21. Read on MASN today that Wells offered Hyde to pitch yesterday with the bullpen being tea taxed. Gotta like this type team player!
  22. Definitely agree, Wells has IL stints in every season. Hopefully he can build on the 23 GS and 100 IP from last year!
