  1. Our organization has one of the best track records with pitching injuries recently. So if they’re doing load management in game 40, then I’ll defer to them. Remember that Hyde brought up how tired this team was in the playoffs. So they’re obviously trying to avoid that.
  2. Corbin Carroll? He’s hitting .197. He’d fit right into our OF.
  3. Everyone slumps. It’s not just free throws or 6ft putts. It’s not just you vs the task. There’s another human out there throwing a baseball armed with top class coaching and scouting as well. Gotta make adjustments.
  4. He went 6 IP of 1 run ball. Induced a ton of weak contact. This is a whole different take on Burnes today by everyone if we won 6-1. Not just you. Obviously this is load management and we need him for the playoffs. We don’t score runs for Burnes. Our hitters need to stop taking the night off mentally because our Ace is pitching. It’s human nature, but they need to fix that.
  5. Just a slump. @Frobby is right though, we need to be a bit more patient. The infamous “two game losing streak”. We’re ok. Just relax.
  6. We currently have three position spots taken up by Santa, Stowers, and Urias. Mayo, Kjerstad, and Holliday replace those three. We have so much position flexibility that it works. Heck, we’ll have to see what happens with Hays and Mullins as well. Our OF is way more of a weakness than our bullpen right now. Hays, Mullins, and Santa, aren’t exactly lighting it up. Cowser is in a slump too. The C/IF spots have been carrying this lineup.
  7. Open spot on the 40 man so why not claim someone to fill it. The ability for Cowser and Mateo to play CF has made McKenna expendable. Stowers and Hays can play CF in a pinch too. Sometimes moves like this work out. See Coloumbe, Webb, Urias, Mateo, and O’Hearn.
  8. That’s exactly what his role will be. Stowers in the mix too. Let’s face it, Kjerstad hit .143 and didn’t look good in the OF. He’ll be a big part of this team going forward. The next prospect that will get a chance to make an impact up here will be Mayo. Probably in a month when the super two date passes.
  9. Could it be Stowers up and Kremer to the IL? Roll with a big bench until Grayson is activated?
  10. We shuffled Vavra and McKenna around last year before Hicks in order to have someone “sharp” on the bench. Kjerstad needs some reps. Stowers is “sharp” because he’s been getting reps. We’ll see what happens when Hays comes back. It could be McKenna or Stowers.
  11. Yeah. This may be to just Kjerstad some reps and swap in another player on the 40 man. It may only be a short stay then Stowers goes for Hays when we face the Lefty SP.
  12. We roughed Bassitt up last year over his two starts. 12 ER in 9 IP.
  13. We very much can afford growing pains. The goal is to have him ready for October. We've already survived Holliday's growing pains, and Urias' just regular pains. Urias has a .497 OPS. Mayo putting up even a .700 OPS would be huge. Hays will be back for Kjerstad. Mayo would come up for Mckenna's spot. A 5th pure OF isn't needed, because O'Hearn can play some COF, and Mateo/Cowser can back up in CF. Also, other prospects shouldn't get lumped in with Holliday's struggles. Each player is different.
