  1. I’m convinced that some have never seen any baseball game. Period.
  2. So you’re convinced Cade Smith is going to have a big year for the Guardians? What’s your scouting report?
  3. I don’t break eggs to make an omelette if I already have a warm one on the plate. I’m not convinced of anything. Kjerstad could be a 30 homer guy. Maybe not. If I had to bet, I’d bet on the 30. That’s not the point. The point is if you trade Kjerstad it should be for a difference maker. Have you ever even seen Cade Smith pitch? Are you convinced he’s a difference making setup man?
  4. I’m fine with trading Kjerstad but not for two relievers who might not be better than we have. Couldn’t Gaddis and Smith just as easily turn into pumpkins? Do they have some kind of track record beyond their first 15 innings pitched this year? Gaddis had a 4.50 ERA for the Guardians and Smith had a 4.00 ERA in AAA. All of a sudden those guys are studs. If we go by the first 15 innings then Suarez, Webb, Coulombe, and Akin are all studs too. So tell me which 2-3 pitchers do you want to DFA. Akin is the only one with options. You want to trade Kjerstad for two relievers you’re sure are that much better than what we already have?
  5. @Moose Milligan Is the laugh emoji the same as ohhhh ok?
  6. We’re not going to have room for all of those guys. We’re just not. Which guys and who says? When Wells and GRod comes back that likely knocks Baumann off the team and another starter to the bullpen. Which one of these are the Cleveland guys significant upgrades over? Cano Webb Suarez Wells Coulombe Akin Perez
  7. Overhaul, maybe not but he seems very in tune with why he does what he does so I think he must have a pretty good idea why he was whiffing on so many fastballs, why he hit so few balls hard, and why he hit so few to LF. I showed his minor league highlights which at one time showed no leg kick at all. He’s made changes before. IMO, he added the leg kick to tap into more power and it led to some bad habits that were exposed at the ML level. I assume someone as smart and analytical as he is, isn’t going to keep doing the same exact things that didn’t work, to say the least, at the MLB level.
  8. Hunter Gaddis looks ok but I’d have to see a lot more of these Cade Smith who had a 4.00 ERA in AAA and Savant says has a 95.4 mph fastball and gives minus values to his breaking ball and offspeed stuff. You can’t sell me on 15 innings.
  9. I made sure to put hosed down instead of just hosed. lol
  10. He asked you first. It’s not enough of an upgrade to deal Kjerstad.
  11. No. Not run of the mill relievers but no elite either.
  12. Gregg Olson. I believe he was the #4 overall in 1988. Pitched in 16 games in A and AA combined and called up at the end of the same year he was drafted. He wasn’t very good in the minors or the majors but he broke out big time in 1989.
  13. Ouch. I’ll catch it on the mlb condensed or if they offer a full replay. Looks like Gameday for me on Friday.
