  1. I don’t know how half the people on here watch the games or follow the team between the worrying and negative Nancy’s. We give up a run early the game is over or as soon as the lineup comes out declaring we just punting this game. I have learned with baseball more than most sports you never know what will happen. Your 26th man on the roster might get the huge hit to win the game. In basketball your 10-13th man on the roster might get a few minutes in garbage time but never really change a game.
  2. Yeah 4 innings 3 or less runs is a success imo. Then let Suarez pitch us to 8th or 9th.
  3. It probably easier to start him. He struggles and gives you 3 innings you have Suarez can give you 5-6. If you start Suarez how many innings do let him go before Means comes in. Then if Means comes in and struggles you have to bring in another guy. It is all about getting him some innings but having a true long man ready if need be.
  4. Til you goes to the Yankees then he becomes douche bag.
  5. It is time for Urias to go. He is nice player plays very good defense but he should never be holding anyone back from coming up. Hays should be back soon and he replaces Heston then you bring either bring up Norby who can play some infield and corner outfield or Mayo and to play 3rd, 1st and DH. Urias and McKenna are not part of the future and should not be holding anyone back when the team feels the others are ready. Mayo is at the halfway point of a half season at Norfolk this year and last so it is very close to time and Norby maybe even closer. When Elias is saying he is very close I expect it within the next month or so.
  6. McCann gets at bat vs lefties because there is no other right handers on current roster. Who do you want hitting Mayo or McCann. You can get Mayo at bats by sliding Mullins out vs a lefty and letting Mateo play center with Westburg moving to 2nd and Mayo at 3rd. Then you can give Henderson a two or three days off a month moving Mateo over to SS. I think some of the guys wore down at the end of the season as they hadn’t played this long last year. I would like to see a few more days off for our starters and we have the depth to not see a big drop off. Henderson can hit lefties but does he do it better than Mayo would? I hope Henderson gets a day off this weekend.
  7. Ramirez made it all the way to us when the Mets DFA’d him that means pretty much every other team passed on him. Did he do anything to make another team say oh wait I think we need this guy now. I didn’t see anything he looked like run of the mill reliever imo. I think it better gamble he makes it through waivers then Baumann does so I would try him to get through.
  8. Yeah I think he goes back down along with McKenna when Hays comes back with Norby joining him. They want Ryan for a defensive replacement in the outfield while Hays is out but once Hays is there he can be that guy and then Norby can come in and play some second and also outfield. Elias has said he very close so that tells me he is here by June 1 if not earlier.
  9. I would be lot more worried if this happened after his disastrous start in Los Angeles then a 6 inning shut out start vs the Yankees.
  10. I think the wall and stadium does make a difference. The 5% on Cowser first catch was not that hard but it is probably in the stands in almost all other parks so it gets a low percentage. It would be interesting to go look at a few balls to right in Yankee stadium or left in Boston and see if some of the percentages of balls off walls or homers are on there higher then should be.
  11. It was 1st and 2nd no outs so they were not in no doubles type defense as they were playing in some to try and cut down the runner at the plate if need be to keep the lead.
  12. There is no way that is a 85% catch chance I don’t care what some statcast numbers say. Line drive directly at you is one of the hardest plays as an outfielder because you can’t judge it well. He didn’t get great read on it but most outfielders won’t either and it was over his head without him even touching it. Could he have made the catch sure if he gets a great read and reacts right away but it was at best a could be catch not anywhere near 85% catch chance.
  13. I heard a lot about getting Bednar from Pittsburgh from most of the guys complaining about Elias not doing anything about the pen. They don’t want to mention that was the guy they wanted to trade for though just complain about not doing anything.
  14. The bullpen and starters have almost identical ERA I’d you take out Heasley’s disaster against Milwaukee.
  15. Oh nice you are already putting us in playoffs, as bad as you say this team is everyday and they can’t hit cant pitch and awful bullpen I figured they would be lucky not to lose 100 games.
