  1. True. I can understand that's a lot of money to walk away from, but he's also made enough money to last three rich lifetimes.
  2. So your sayin' there's a chance?
  3. You would think, but there's a lot of money on the table and it appears Davis is more concerned about cashing those checks then his legacy as a player.
  4. I really hope Davis does what's right at this point and retires. It's his only way of saving some grace at this point. If not, I agree, this year's 40-man roster decisions should be the end of him, unless the team thinks there is a possibility of another strange season like this where they wouldn't have to pay him the entire amount.
  5. Probably not the best popup combo you want out there!
  6. The good news, Huascar Ynoa has not pitched past the 3rd inning this season and batters have slashed .391/.462/.739/1.201 against him from pitches 26-50. He's at 44. This is now the longest outing of his major league career.
  7. Not for me. He's a place holder. He doesn't have major league stuff but can eat some innings because he can throw quality strikes with five pitches, even if they all are below average.
  8. Glad to see they finally put the infielder statcast metrics onto Baseball Savant. They've been missing most of this season. Alberto has looked a little below average defensively this season but i am surprised it's been that bad.
  9. The good news, Huascar Ynoa has not pitched past the 3rd inning this season and batters have slashed .391/.462/.739/1.201 against him from pitches 26-50. He's at 35.
  10. I really like Kevin Brown, but he is getting into Hunter territory with this wild card talk and "little room for error". Just focus on each game and if for some reason this team gets on a run and the Yankees start to implode then mention it, but come on, let's not be silly.
  11. Honestly, every time Esh gets through an inning I feel good. His stuff is so below par across the board that it really is amazing he's having some success. Guess it goes to show you that command and pitchability can get major league batters out as long as the command is there.
  12. I agree. Schoop was a really good tagger as was Manny. they were both trained by Bordick in the minors.
  13. Not sure why Alberto is not standing on the bag there in case the runner was off the bag a little bit. Seems to not have his head in the game today so far which is odd for him,
  14. Great slide by Albies there, but that's two tags in a row by Alberto that need to be better. another great throw by Hays.
  15. Clearly Elias has a different opinion.
  16. The key is to play guys that have a chance to be part of the future as much as possible to give them experience down the stretch. That should be their only goal.
  17. Plus we know that Wojo is not a starter. He's a middle-long reliever at best. Not Saying Eshelman is either, since his statcast numbers suggest he should probably be in AA, but he's a guy who defies the statcast metrics with plus-plus pitchability and plus command.
  18. Sometimes you gotta tip the cap to the opposing pitcher. Cole has been basically unhittable.
  19. Wow, when Pedro Severino loses interest, he really loses interest.
  20. Yeah, he has to be much more aggressive on that kind of play.
  21. I think any game you go into against Cole you go on with the odds on their side. But, maybe a reliever will have an off day, assuming he doesn't stay on the game and no-hit the O's.
  22. Hard to be too tough on the Orioles hitters today. Gerrit Cole is just on his game and when he's on his game, he's just about unhittable.
