  1. Heck, I'd leave Gibson out there, too. Gets handed a 4 run lead and craps the bed.
  2. Hopefully, this will be Gibson's bad inning. He seems to have one just about every game where he totally loses command.
  3. I'd rather see McKenna in LF vs. a RHP.
  4. I will be happy with 2 out of 3 in EVERY series for the rest of this season.
  5. I voted 4 to 5 WAR. I could definitely live with that for him over the next 4 seasons. I would hope he'd have some 6 or 7 WAR seasons, but he rarely gets days off and I think that's tough on a catcher, even if he's "just" DH'ing.
  6. No to Cano. I still think Wells and maybe Webb.
  7. Not sure if you were aware, but Santander's lifetime splits are a .780 OPS vs LHP and .760 vs RHP. Not much of a difference. Love the info you have in here, though! EDIT: Oops...I didn't read you line about "good hitting from each side". My bad!
  8. They are a tough nut to crack. They seem to have pretty good pitching and enough talent on offense. Something just doesn't seem to click for them. I agree that they could be tough in a short series.
  9. I still can't figure out why Mateo is still here.
  10. Unless there is someone in the minors breaking through the door, I say "no thanks". I think he's worth the money to have as an above average backup.
  11. Well, thanks for pointing that out, Frobby. I didn't dig deeper (or at all!) into Hamilton's MiLB numbers. I'll give @brucewayne a little leeway.
  12. You do realize that Hamilton has a lifetime .292 OBP, right? While I don't expect him to get walked as much in the majors, Bradfield currently has a .581 OBP at Delmarva. His career OBP in college was .426. Let's say he has a .350 OBP and steals 40-50 bases playing stellar defense...would you be OK with that?
  13. If this club is such a money pit and he only sees it changing for the worse, why in the world would the Angelos family continue to own this team?
  14. Tampa has been pretty successful with this business model. And...unless Elias has a piece of ownership, I don't see him sticking around very long. Hopefully, there will be a line of succession where someone else can step in and continue doing what Elias has been doing.
  15. He was part of the Trey Mancini deal...as was Chayce McDermott.
  16. I would say they should play Gunnar (3B), Ortiz (SS), Westburg (2B) every day with Urias/Frazier giving them the occasional day off.
  17. I'm not watching the game, but I think it's odd that every one of their runs has scored with two outs.
