I would think this would be reasonable. I wouldn't want to deal Kremer, though. I think Seattle wants position players...so what about Cowser, Westburg and Fabian/Beavers?

Gilbert would be a great target, but I think he's going to be VERY expensive.

I'd love to be surprised and see them grab a young, controllable arm. I think I've said that in this thread earlier. It seems to me that we'd be a good match for a team like Seattle.

No freaking way. The only way one of those guys should be dealt is if we're receiving a young, controllable starter.

I tend to agree that this will be regrettable, but only if we lose multiple top prospects. If there are a couple of guys like Stowers/Prieto/Vavra (like @Keygans suggested) going, I'd be OK with it provided that the Mets are picking up a good portion of his salary.

I do appreciate their confidence. But, I would love to see AT LEAST another strong bullpen arm added.

Nor should it be. If they are going to trade prospects, it better not be for some guy who could be doing it with smoke and mirrors right now. I know Verlander has the pedigree, but is he that much better than a guy like Flaherty or Lorenzen at this point?

Civale seems like the type of guy they can get a lot out of. I do agree that it's against their normal MO to give up a top-level prospect for a guy that's not an "Ace".

I don't know about everyone else, but Verlander scares the heck out of me. I just can't see this management group giving up significant prospects for Verlander...I don't care how much NY is willing to cover.

Yeah...with a career line of .291/.392/.543. Not bad.

I'd say it's Frazier over Westburg in the lineup, but that's just me.
