I have liked this move from the jump. There's no need why the O's should trot out an infield of Martin, Urias, Mateo, and Mountcastle for the remainder of the season.
I believe it is related to their draft slot. A first rounder should zoom through the minors (Adley), while someone who was a very late round selection needs to prove it more (Means). Prove it meaning, not necessarily dominance, but consistency.
All these "fans" jumping ship are hilarious. Elias was very clear from the start that there would be a few lean years to shake out the dead weight. He's earned the right to see this through.
"Fully-vaccinated fans will be able to attend Nats games without a face mask in both indoor and outdoor areas within the stadium. Those not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask at all times, unless they are eating or drinking within their ticketed seat."
This still has me wondering - who is going to say that they are unvaccinated at this point?
Whatever man.
Since May 5, he's made 4 starts, equating to 24.1 innings, a 3.33 ERA, and 1.02 WHIP with 18 K's and 3 walks in that span.
Means is NOT the problem.
