The Orioles should call Gunnar up but I agree with not bringing him up while it could affect his ROY eligibility. He should be up at the beginning of next year because of the draft pick stuff.

The cutoff has basically already passed. I have to believe that they plan on him starting in the majors next year to possibly get the extra draft pick for ROY, especially since they may lose some service time for Adley if he finishes top 2.

Have to be a bit careful about the strikeouts. The Orioles have specifically mandated that they would rather their guys strike out in the minors vs. swing at balls. With Cowser's eye, it's possible that this is part of his strikeout issue.

Why is it a lazy comp at the present? What would be your comp for this year only? There are clearly major command and control issues at the moment. As I said, I don't think it is the comp for the future. I still think he can start, but it seems it's going to take a bit longer for him to find the control and command to do so.
