  1. I question how much you can learn in 4 days at the ML level. Sure, I bet Stowers realized that everything is faster at the big league level, however how can that be replicated at AAA? It can't. I'm sure he was thrilled to be up for a few days, anyone would be. And you're right, he has a lot to learn about his major league adjustments. But there's no better place to learn about ML adjustments than at...the major leagues. Again, I agree you can learn a lot by watching but he was up for 4 days. How much was learned? At least it didn't burn an option, that would have been REALLY stupid. I think it was kind of stupid in the sense that it was a shoulder shrug kind of a move. I don't think it really helped him, I don't think it really hurt him either. I think he should still be here and I think he should still be getting at bats as I don't think Santander portends to be part of the future of this club. Stowers, while not a superstar prospect, has a lot of upside that needs to be realized. So it was stupid from a "what was that, exactly?" kind of perspective. And it wasn't the end of the world, either. Both statements can be true.
  2. I didn't know Rougie was in a League of Their Own.
  3. Did you see @NelsonCruuuuuzchecking out those two hot blondes walking up the aisle?
  4. Also, we can all agree that MASN is dog****. But now that they have these little pop up ads that are scrolling in from the scoreboard. I mean, c'mon.
  5. Quick, give us the finger so we know it's you!
  6. Oh jeez. I mean, this is Elias' fault. If he was still up in Baltimore, he's probably not hit by a pitch and removed from the game, possibly injured. I hope Elias loses sleep over this.
  7. Found this picture of SG and RZNJ: Anyway, the more I've thought about it, if we don't take Jones (and the more we go along, NOT taking him seems like a WTF move as he continues to seemingly separate himself from the pack), I agree with @TheWallthat I could sell myself on any one of the other remaining guys, minus Berry and Lee. If it were Berry, I think I'd actually be pretty upset. If it were not Jones and one of the remaining guys I'd be somewhat disappointed that it wasn't Jones but try to look at the positive side of things and focus on the upside of whoever we just drafted. Johnson: MLB.com raves about the bat-to-ball skills, says some evaluators are giving his bat a near 80 grade. That would be hard not to get excited about. I couldn't care less that he's 5'8", there have been plenty of smaller players who have done very well for themselves. The fact that height is a focal point is silly. Green: Elite runner. But the swing and miss in his game still worries me, even though the writeup on MLB.com (shut up, I'm not paying for Baseball America) says it's gotten better. Seems like an elite overall athlete which would be welcomed. Holliday: SS is always welcome, great bloodlines. Collier: Younger than the rest, playing well against older talent. Doesn't appear to have a problem against velocity. Jones should be the pick though.
  8. OOOOOOOOMMMMMGGGG KEITH LAW HAS THE ORIOLES TAKING JONES #1 OVERALL OMMMMGGGGGG

  10. Want: Druw Jones Take: Whoever gives this board a meltdown. Kinda looking forward to it.
  11. Anyone want to explain why this is an issue? Looks like he doesn't have much of a problem actually hitting the ball.
  12. I'm nitpicking, but I think you gotta pump the brakes on the early Kremer returns.
  13. I think he's done decent. I would fall short of calling him a genius, wizard, etc. The rotation leaves a lot to be desired.
  14. Holt is a wizard, remember. A wizard.
  15. If he has a career that matches Buster Posey's, that'd be fantastic.
  16. Gonna be expensive. We'll see if whatever Angelos is in charge will open up their wallet.
  17. I think Mancini's team would use projections of what he'd do playing for their team in that stadium. I don't think a team offering a contract is going to care much one way or another. There are no guarantees. Just because the numbers said that he'd have hit more homers in 2022 in their stadium doesn't mean he'd do it going forward. All I know it'd be a lot easier for Mancini to hit 30 homers instead of his agent having to whip out those expected homer charts and have to explain why he didn't hit 30 homers and promising that it'd be different somewhere else.
