  1. Severe innings limit. Wait and see, he’ll be on one for 2023, too.
  2. They do love their own down there. It's obnoxious to see well run teams make smart moves. Being an Orioles fan is consistently being in a state of jealousy and sadness.
  3. Olson seems to be the type that'll be embraced by the Atlanta fans rather quickly. He'll be a fan favorite soon enough, I don't think Atlanta worried about it too much from that perspective. But agreed on everything else.
  4. From what I remember, I think Pache is elite with the glove but there were concerns about the bat. That's a big package to give up for a first baseman but he turns 28 later this month so they'll have him for his prime.
  5. Although, to their credit, it was very believable. That would be the Orioles luck.
  6. Only the Orioles could move back their LF wall, make a guy like Correa a mega deal only to have it turned down because said outfield wall would hinder home run production. Only this ****ing piece of **** team. "But hey, more doubles and triples!"
  7. Honestly a bit surprised that Correa is still on the market, I figured he'd be gone by now. I saw that his house in Houston is on the market for whatever that's worth. I don't know if the Astros jump back in the market for him but it's easy to rip a for sale sign out of the yard. It would also be easy to purchase a new house with whatever new contract the Astros gave him.
  8. Depending on the years/dollars of course, this could be a good move. Getting someone like Duffy is way better than a Lyles type. Or a Matt Harvey type.
  9. I’m sure there have been guys with elite contact skills in the minors that have washed out in the majors. For Prieto, it depends on the level of competition he is used to facing.
  10. No. He was fine last year. Just keep him where he is.
  11. Can’t really bust if you don’t have high hopes. From what I remember reading the contact skills are nice but how they translate to pro ball in the States remains to be seen.
  12. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be the OD starter so that means he won’t be on the roster. And then we’ll get some lame excuse about how he needs some more time at Bowie or Norfolk to work on things. I’m not advocating for that. I just think the Orioles could ruin pizza so they’ll most likely botch this.
  13. Hate to see Freeman leave the Braves but at least it’s the Dodgers and not the Yankees.
  14. Kershaw to the Dodgers on a 1 year deal. Not that we had a chance to get him, but glad to see he goes back to LAD. Would be weird to see him in anything else.
  15. Like a lot of the country figured out, I think MASN learned that they could get people to do jobs cheaper, remotely. I'm wondering if MASN is the only one doing this or if there are other broadcast teams that aren't going on the road. I'm sure they're just pocketing the money that they'd otherwise spend. I'm not really looking forward to the broadcast lineup this year.
  16. With the way Giants can coach up pitching, that could be a really good deal for them.
  17. Which is why we need to jump on it. No one would ever believe that we tampered.
  18. Kinda surprised that no big splashes have been made so far. I thought this was going to be like the first day of NFL free agency where teams would be going nuts. I'm assuming this picks up over the weekend.
  19. Well that's true, the universal DH makes it slightly more palatable. I really don't feel the need to see Lowther pick up a bat. Or any pitcher for that matter, really. And yes, less games against the Yanks and Sox is good for us to a certain extent.
