  1. Get ready for missing a whole baseball season.
  2. I’ve got a slight feeling that we won’t have baseball this year. Adley won’t see the majors till he’s 25. Pity.
  3. Wow, looks like the word got out about Coby Mayo. He might be the player I’m most excited about on this list.
  4. Depends on how HIGH the batting average is, Froberto Duran. Glass half full, k?
  5. .740-.769. He strikes out his fair share for sure, but who doesn't these days? There's been a good separation between his batting average and on base percentage which, IMO is more important.
  6. His dWar is only 18.4. Brooks laps him with 39.4. For some reason I thought Schmidt would be higher. Certainly not as high as Brooks but higher.
  7. I'd target DSL types, for sure. The more, the merrier. That's where the value is, IMO. I'd be alright with a Bradish type, for sure. If we got that, I'd be pleased. A Jahmai Jones type would be an eye-roll. And yes, 17 year old dominican types are where it's at. We should be stockpiling them aggressively.
  8. Overall, I'd have to go with Schmidt. His defense was no slouch and the bat was special. Brooks, for me, is #2. But for defense only, it's Brooks.
  9. Alright, well what more do you think we could get? What's the value for someone like Mancini who's fairly limited?
  10. Jahmai Jones and Zac Lowther types. Guys that'll play in Baltimore only because the team is terrible and they'll need bodies at some point due to injury, probably. In other words, filler. I'm with @DrinkinWithFermi, I'm agnostic on trading Mancini, that's a perfect way to describe it. If it happens, great, I guess. Gives us something to talk about and munch on, most likely doesn't move a need for this franchise moving forward. Do these moves need to happen for a franchise? Yes. Does that make it exciting? No.
  11. Keep them locked in the same room. Start to withhold food and water. Whoever survives, wins.
  12. **** these mother****ers. I'm not really upset at the lockout itself, this stuff happens from time to time no matter what the sport is. I've said before I am not taking this personally as I know the owners and players don't care about the fans (me) past whatever we can cough up for a ticket and whatever officially licensed gear we decide to purchase. It is a strictly transactional relationship. The thing that bugs me about this situation is that they had oh, I dunno, all the time after the World Series was over through November and December and didn't do a damn thing. Now it's some last minute shenanigans that makes them look worse. I'll be back whenever they decide to stop playing patty cake with each other. I'm not one of those fans that is looking to make my fandom into martyrdom, that's just silly. I'm just pissed that they didn't start these negotiations the second they were able to. Instead they stood across the room from each other like awkward middle schoolers at their first dance.
  13. Put me 1.600 or higher for everyone not named Means and G-Rod. As far as Nottingham goes, I'd be surprised if he cracks .630 in whatever limited time he gets.
  14. On the flip side, Mancini isn't any kind of lynchpin to net us some great players to propel this team forward. I think the best result of trading him would probably be some sort of roster flexibility...an addition by subtraction of sorts.
  15. I'm assuming most people on Twitter haven't seen Brooks or don't know much about him. Beltre wins due to recency bias.
  16. I think a lot of things were easier to believe in the 1950s.
  17. If they can't wait then what are they waiting for? I can't wait to go to Nashville to see this suck**** team play! At least it's a way better town than Baltimore.
