No, he's not a bust. Yet. But his first year certainly was a bust. I'd love to be wrong about him but I'm pretty sure it's difficult to pick up a bat and start dominating at a professional level after being inactive for a year. Inactive being the key word there...it's not like he could do anything at all. He's most likely not as strong as he was a year ago, he's going to have to work hard not just at hitting a baseball and fielding his position but simply getting stronger and getting into some sort of playing shape.
Is he a bust for the future? No way of telling. But as it stands right now, his first year has been a bust.
