  1. Yup, don't miss Gausman. Actually, 8 earned runs for him tonight.
  2. Gausman gave up 4 runs in the first inning tonight to the Nationals. ERA sitting at 4.91.
  3. @atomic when you're a hammer, everything's a nail.
  4. Curious to see where he's going to be ranked after the season is over if he keeps this up. I'm wondering if he'd be in the #50 range.
  5. I can't remember the last time I had so much anticipation for something.
  6. An NL west team is about as far off my baseball radar as possible. Not sure why it was so obvious but I believe you.
  7. Dude, WAY too much. 2 at bats and then 3 pitches into the third at bat, tops.
  8. Kinda like we'll put anyone with a pulse on the mound.
  9. wildcard texted me, said he's flying out to see Little Yaz's first game. Made a sign and everything.
  10. I'm encouraged by the news. I don't think Elias is a BSer. I'm not getting my hopes up that we'll be the #1 spender in international FA....but that he's making this a focus, it's really nice to see.
  11. To be fair, it's an exceedingly low bar to surpass. I mean, we could sign like 5 guys for 250k each and that's a big improvement.
  12. Jones Jones is putting up Jones type numbers. .271/.330/.486 for an .816 OPS. 9 homers, 28 RBI. Should easily eclipse last years totals.
  13. Someone, somewhere is whining that it was a bad route and that a better outfielder wouldn't have had to have leap for it.
  14. He is. People have pointed to his peripherals and statcast stats around here. I am fearful the carriage is turning back into a pumpkin.
  15. That's cool but I'm looking past 2019 standards. Plus he only had 1 strikeout, 3 walks. That's not good.
  16. Not a good outing. Curious to see how he's going to bounce back in the next start.
  17. At that point he's already established trade values!
  18. If you look closely enough, you can see Baltimore's inferiority complex.
  19. @Can_of_corn has a bone to pick with you on that notion.
  20. Sounds like a road you've been down before.
  21. It's a fantastic narrative you can't comprehend, therefore I'll keep it up. And yes, people are saying that, essentially, because he wasn't highly touted to begin with. Guys that get drafted in the later rounds get viewed in a different light. Look how many chances a guy like Jeffrey Hammonds got, despite not being able to stay healthy for more than 5 minutes. You think Jeffrey Hammonds would have received all those chances if he were drafted in the 10th round? Guys that get drafted in the first round get every opportunity to show that they CAN'T play. If Mancini was a 1st round pick it'd be all "OMG, he's finally coming into his own, we've got a piece we can build around!" instead of "Hey, what can we trade him for, he can't keep this up...right?!" which is pretty close to saying "This hot start isn't sustainable because he was selected in the eighth round."
  22. I got your bupkiss right here... I just think that people would be more apt to not write him off if he was a 1st or 2nd round pick. Comprende?
  23. He was hurt. Sorry for introducing context.
