You are really wondering why words matter? I'm not arguing to sign anyone of the people you listed, but I have a real problem with playing Judge and Jury and labeling people inappropriately. If you think the law or legal terms are inappropriate, then let us just ignore each other, but remember, words matter and you don't get to just say something that is your opinion as if it's true.

Kremer is a good pitcher, he's going to improve this year, I believe. In the words of Buck Showalter, we're lucky to have him. He's really undervalued on this site.

Come on, 1 game sample sizes should never be discounted. All the data you'll ever need about Kremer in the playoffs should come from his start in 2023.

I am certain the Orioles knew they were getting Burnes for 1 year. They paid a price that would indicate that. If they gave up a bigger prospect haul there would probably have been some pressure for an extension but they have a full year of him and during that time they can plan for his exit.

I don't know if I'd go that far. The Brewers believe Hall is a starter and he's obviously got an electric arm. If they can develop him better than we can, they are going to have a stud for 6 years. The possibility being they have their Hader replacement. Hall is going to be good, I believe.

I don't think he's finding fault with the trade, just saying that Ortiz has a good chance to be a good player for MIL. He had no spot here to speak of.

Agreed. Everyone thinks Hall is underrated but I honestly believe Ortiz is going to have a nice career and be a real pesky at bat.

I'm not sure I'd call it a weak package. If Ortiz is a 3 win player that's pretty valuable by itself.

They all know the business, though. Burnes is a big talent add to this team and they all want to win.

I hope he kills it, I really do. He and Ortiz both. I'm very glad they are getting a shot.

I guarantee you, that every guy on the 26-man roster is ecstatic over this acquisition, well 25 now, Hall is probably not thrilled.

If Montgomery or Snell don't sign soon, I wonder if they'd take a lesser deal with opt-outs? That might put us in the picture for one of them.
