I don't really care who wins it. I'm more entertained that the Yankees will have to use a position player for the 2nd straight Gil start.
Gunnar will be fine as long as he stays healthy.
I was joking, he pulled it down the line. Not that I have any worries at all about him pulling balls in OPACY, enough of them will clear it when he gets into one.
Their starting pitching outside of Bibee is suspect as hell. Those relievers are getting abused but damn, they have 4 guys that would be our best reliever most likely.
He's a mid 4 FIP guy so that's not great. He's got okay statcast numbers in a few categories but nothing that screams this guy is going to be an excellent pitcher. He's under control for a long time and getting shelled in AAA, not sure what his deal is.
Yeah I'm certain it wasn't his best start of the year. Cleveland puts the ball in play, he did a good job of getting fast outs, made a couple of mistakes and had some balls smoked right at people. If he can do that every start I'll take it though.
He's under control through 2027 which is also a bonus. Lots of walks and hits but can strike guys out. I wouldn't give up a ton for him, though. I still don't get why the Angels aren't letting him stay up, but he's getting roughed in AAA. 8HR in 24IP.
That HR tonight is a lazy flyball at OPACY. He needs more power training to conquer Walltimore.
Just kidding, I would bet he's up in the next couple of weeks.
