  1. Why would we trade for Ty Blach if he was a minor-league free agent at the end of the year? Couldn't we get anyone we could actually keep?
  2. You have to hit at least so well to win a Gold Glove. Look at Derek Jeter!
  3. Yeah, I don't think I'm interested on anything more than a minor-league deal
  4. I went Bradish and Baumann here, but it could easily be Bradish and Vavra. It's hard to pick Vavra because he was hurt most of the year, and I'm pretty sure I remember hearing he had defensive issues
  5. Yeah, after seeing Hernandez this high, I'm taking the upside picks here
  6. I went with Lowther and Pinto since I know Tony is really high on both of them. Bradish and Vavra was a tempting option though
  7. If we can figure out on this message board that Hunter Harvey has more upside than Richie Martin, I'm sure Elias can figure it out, too. There has to be more going on here
  8. Those of you who are sure this is so terrible, remember that the Giants have one of the lowest waiver priorities in baseball. Most other teams didn't want the guy either. Not even rebuilding ones I agree that as a poster on this message board it looks stupid. But there has to be more here because what, 27 other GMs just took a pass on having him for free too.
  9. Kind of mind-blowing Harvey almost made it through waivers. Like, the rebuilding teams didn't even want to take a flyer
  10. I've figured it out guys! Hunter Harvey was cut because sometime, somewhere he threw a sinker and Elias found out. He can't have that on this team Dillon Tate has compromising pictures of Elias
  11. Yeah, I'm not counting on him to be anything more than an average middle reliever
  12. I'm pretty sure the right-handed version of Rom isn't a top prospect. Makes eliminating one of the options easy
  13. I'm going with Rom and Basallo. Everyone else on this list struggled too much last year
  14. I think it has to be Norby here. Pinto is the kind of unknown upside guy Tony likes to put at #11. If Henderson is rated higher than Stowers and Westburg on age, then I think Norby is probably higher than Vavra. Also, didn't Vavra bat like .245 while being a little old for AA?
  15. I'm not against giving him another shot at starting next year. I just don't think he'll stick there
  16. Tony mentioned his velocity falling off after 2-3 innings in the Bradish thread and said he gives him "reliever vibes"
  17. Bradish is likely a reliever at this point which makes it hard to rank him higher than early double digits
  18. I also agree it's Heston. Only other guy up there who's in the conversation is Norby, and I think I'd rather have Kjerstad.
  19. My guess is 8/9 are Westburg and Kjerstad in that order
  20. It has to be Westburg. His overall line wasn't much worse than Stowers's and he's a middle infielder
  21. Should have realized Tony is more optimistic on Stowers than I am (not that I don't like him or anything). I had him #8. Oh well, I guess Westburg is probably next
  22. I think it's Westburg, but it could be Stowers. I like Stowers a lot and I'll bet he's #8, but Westburg is a potential SS who can hit and Stowers has a red flag or two. I'm not even tempted by the other options. Baumann had a pretty bad season, and both he and Bradish are likely relievers in MLB from what I heard. Vavra missed too much time to be this high
  23. What year did we go after AJ Burnett?
  24. This is too high for Basallo and Bradish. Tony also had Westburg behind Henderson in the power rankings all year, so I doubt it's him either. Seems a bit high for Kjerstad still, though I do think he's top 10. Gotta be Henderson here
