  1. It has to be Westburg. His overall line wasn't much worse than Stowers's and he's a middle infielder
  2. Should have realized Tony is more optimistic on Stowers than I am (not that I don't like him or anything). I had him #8. Oh well, I guess Westburg is probably next
  3. I think it's Westburg, but it could be Stowers. I like Stowers a lot and I'll bet he's #8, but Westburg is a potential SS who can hit and Stowers has a red flag or two. I'm not even tempted by the other options. Baumann had a pretty bad season, and both he and Bradish are likely relievers in MLB from what I heard. Vavra missed too much time to be this high
  4. What year did we go after AJ Burnett?
  5. This is too high for Basallo and Bradish. Tony also had Westburg behind Henderson in the power rankings all year, so I doubt it's him either. Seems a bit high for Kjerstad still, though I do think he's top 10. Gotta be Henderson here
  6. I thought the more strikeouts you have, the higher your BABIP has to be if you want a good batting average and Stowers is at the level where your BABIP has to be well over .350 to have a batting average in the .260-.280 range. Though if they are related to selectiveness as you say, that gives me hope that with more practice he could cut down on the strikeouts a bit
  7. I will be shocked if Stowers hits .260-.280 in the majors year in and year out. He strikes out too much in the minors and it's probably going to get worse in the majors. He's a great player who will probably have a good MLB career, but I just can't see that high of an AVG
  8. I think we can pretty safely rule out Baumann and Kjerstad here Honestly, I could see the case for Hall, Henderson or Westburg. Tony has had Henderson ahead of Westburg pretty much all year, so I'm going to eliminate Westburg. Game then becomes which hurts the guy more in Tony's eyes? Hall being injured for most of the year or Westburg's poor defense. If I could have only one of these guys in the system, I'd pick Hall because the upside is tantalizing and we really need starting pitching. I'm going to guess Tony feels the same, but I still have a strong hunch it's Henderson. Going with "Disabled List" Hall here.
  9. It has to be Cowser here. Tony downplayed Gunnar enough in the Mayo thread for me to think he isn't the choice here. I know Tony is high on Stowers, but I doubt he's this high. Tony also had Hall lower than the consensus last year and after another injury shortened year and new talent in the system I can't imagine Hall is higher than last year
  10. I went with Cowser, but I could see it being Henderson or Mayo. Power Rankings were the tiebreaker for me
  11. It's Gray Rod. After this is where it gets a little bit trickier
  12. It has to be Adley. Grayson had a great year, but Adley is Adley
  13. I think Greiner can hit sub-200 while providing above average baserunning and shortstop defense if that's what you're asking. More with the bat is possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. If Galvis is very cheap, I wouldn't mind a one-year reunion. Would rather pay big for a SS though as the market is overloaded and we can probably get somewhat of a discount on someone good
  14. I agree with all that. It's just puzzling to me that if a team liked a guy, they wouldn't try to sign him when he's freely available in favor of waiting for the Rule V so they can have the privilege of paying an extra $50,000 for him and having to keep them on the MLB roster all year. I think I posted a while back saying I thought a team might take a chance on Peralta in the Rule V, but that was before I knew he'd be a minor league free agent at year's end
  15. I think if they have years next year like they did this year there's a good chance they have their MLB debuts in 2022
  16. Yeah, if he was just a minor league free agent and teams weren't pounding on his door, not sure why they'd grab him in the Rule V
  17. I too read the summaries everyday. Here's a long overdue thank you from me!
  18. Can you tell me how you knew before this season that Mullins would be fantastic this year? I want to work for a MLB front office
  19. I think relying on Dorrian or Mundy for anything at the major league level is a pretty big stretch. Dorrian is basically a non-prospect and Mundy is reeeealy going to have to hit to be a useful major-leaguer
  20. Let's not kid ourselves. There's a zero percent chance Rodriguez and Rutschman start next year in the majors unless they change the service time rules
  21. You know who else had like 4 good starts this year? Spenser Watkins
  22. Akin struck out three batters in six innings yesterday, good for a 4.5 K/9 Can you show me one pitcher who has had success in MLB over the past couple of years with a 4.5 K/9?
