  1. The Sisco hate here is unreal. The Os have a 24 year old catcher who tore up AAA, has shown real on base ability at every stop in the organization, and yes made a bad play last night. I’m not worried about his defense this year or the next. He needs to be behind the dish 4 times a week and in the lineup 6 times a week. Let’s see what’s real here. Or we could just wait for Caleb Jospeh to get released again...
  2. Keep both, but if forced to choose you roll with Santander who is 2 years younger.
  3. The As broadcasters are pronouncing it that way too
  4. Right now? No clue, teams don’t usually sell controllable talent at its absolute low point. Even so, I think he fetches more than anyone we currently have...unless Bundy goes on a tear.
  5. “ Givens is earning only $2.15MM this year and is controllable for two more seasons. You might wonder whether he’s even really marketable at this point. I’d argue he is. Though he has been shredded by home runs, along with the rest of the Orioles staff, Givens is sitting at a customary 95+ mph with his heater and is getting swings and misses at a career-best 14.9% rate. Plenty of teams around the game would love to get ahold of Givens and his powerful right arm.” I agree. The control and upside outweigh the rough stretch. Unfortunately there are 8-10 better relievers also on the market.
  6. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/06/top-50-trade-candidates-2019-mlb-trade-deadline.html MLBTR has 4 Os in their top 50... 17. Givens 20. Cashner 25. Mancini 35. Villar
  7. I’m tracking everyone looks good in a highlight video, but jeez Torkelson. Looks more athletic in the box than I was expecting.
  8. At home on paternity leave and scouting from my couch....I’m out on the Arkansas SS Casey Martin at 1-1.
  9. This. The Yankees sent down a guy that would probably be our best player.
  10. I’m still kinda bothered they didn’t let him finish the game in Toronto. ?
  11. Kid seems legit https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.saturdaydownsouth.com/vanderbilt-football/vanderbilt-rides-austin-martin-to-victory-in-college-world-series-opener-vs-louisville/amp/
  12. You have to 80 in 2 minutes to get a perfect score. I’ve seen plenty of dudes rip off that 80 in a minute. No real point in going past that but it’s definitely doable.
  13. Hefty or not, he moves pretty well
  14. I need Mookie to pick it up in fantasy anyway
  15. I would probably take that bet. Based on the 0 minutes of research I’ve done I tend to believe that catchers bat’s take a little more time to develop. He is also getting regular ABs for the first time. Catcher is probably the one position on the team I’m most okay with right now.
  16. His bat speed has always been fine imo. Turned on 95 tonight.
  17. I look at what the Twins are doing at C. Getting the max out of Castro and Garver - while keeping them fresh. Best case scenario in 2022 we could see this with Sisco and Adley. Probably why Elias hinted at Adley playing some first as well.
  18. I believe what I saw in spring training, so I’m not worried about him yet. He has been injured. Prospect development isn’t always linear .
  19. While I think he is undervalued at present, I alsodon’t know what to do with him. He likely won’t bring back much in a trade. Probably best to let him just play out his arb years. Best not to be tied to him with the roster in such flux.
  20. Whether he is “meh” or not is up for debate. We have him through 2022 either way, so the only way an extension is a good idea is just to get some cost certainty for the next 3 years.
