  1. Seems like none of the events allow autographs, which is a huge bummer. Has anyone been to these happy hour events? If so, how were they?
  2. Lol yup, I then learned that Stroman apparently is disliked by Yankees fans because of negative comments he made about the Yankees in the past. Overall weird storyline I wasn't expecting to enjoy on this NFL Sunday.
  3. Yeah I was warming up to the idea of Manaea but oh well. It does seem to be Stroman or bust from a FA perspective. My ideal scenario would be trade for a SP and then sign one more RP in FA. But if we just grab Stroman and call it an off-season, I'd be fine with that too. Edit: Immediately after posting this I login to Twitter to see that Stroman has reached out to the Yankees to let them know he is "heavily interested" in signing with them, maybe I don't want him after all!
  4. A wild fantasy I have is we sign one of these guys and trade for a higher level guy. A rotation of Burnes, Bradish, Stroman, Grayson and Means, would be awesome.
  5. Wow actual news! Know nothing about this guy but always good to take guys from respectable organizations.
  6. The article from mlb.com a few days ago suggested a Mullins for Burnes deal, which I'd prefer to the Santander deal.
  7. He started a game in the World Series in 2021, which seems pretty odd that they didn't have a better option than this guy, but cool experience for him!
  8. That Luis Robert trade would be exciting
  9. Will be interesting to see how Mullins plays next season. Hoping his down performance was mostly due to the injury. Made a post about it a few weeks ago, but from the eye test, it's pretty clear he's not running at his top speed.
  10. I was also very curious about this. I wonder if he wasn't at the game at all or if he just had a situation where he needed to leave immediately after it ended? Either way very odd, and also a bit concerning, hope all is well with his family/personal life.
  11. Agreed with this list. I wonder what a package of Hays, Urias, Norby and Stowers would net us?
  12. Agreed, I think Mateo and Urias have value, so I wouldn't want to just let them walk, but I see them as a throw-in to a larger trade.
  13. Houston is the team in the AL that scares me. The Tampa series has drawn all the attention, but I'm surprised this series hasn't got more attention. Pretty brutal 7 game stretch, if we can get 2 of 3 that'd be great.
  14. I think we're kind of saying the same thing here. So considering the stats you cited, he is an average/above average #3 starter, therefore my comment saying he has had back to back "very nice" seasons for a back end of the rotation guy would still be correct, perhaps "great" would be more appropriate than "very nice." And like @clapdiddy said, this was with me fantasizing about what our rotation could be next season. On a bad team, Dean would potentially be the ace of the staff. If he keeps pitching like this and is our 4th/5th starter for the next few years, which I think is what we should be hoping for, then we're in for an awesome ride.
  15. Lol yeah, if either of them are throwing in the 8th or 9th, we're in big trouble. I hope Fuji can continue the streak he's on, his stats over the last 7 games are really nice
  16. Me too, he's now had back to back very nice seasons for a back of the rotation guy.
  17. I understand it's AAA, but man, if you would have told me he'd put up 1 ER over 9 IPs in his rehab starts, I would be ecstatic. We'll see how it translates to the Majors but very encouraging for not only this season but more so next season. If he returns to his prior form, a rotation of Grayson, Bradish, Means and Dean plus potentially an above average (hopefully elite) guy that we trade for the in off-season could be really exciting.
  18. Who do we trust more right now Krehbiel or Lopez?
  19. Is it clear to anyone else that Cedric is not 100% recovered from his injuries? Don't get me wrong, he's still playing pretty well, but just in watching him, he seems to be a touch slower offensively. His steals are way down, but even just watching him run out grounders, seems like he's being a little precautious. My assumption is they've told him to play at a speed he's comfortable with and let it fully heal in the off-season, obviously losing his defense alone would be a big blow to the team, not to mention he's still hitting decently and has been very clutch. I haven't heard anyone really mention this, so was just curious if I'm the only one seeing it this way.
  20. I was going over next years roster in my head and there's clearly only room for one veteran bench infielder imo, so the front office will be deciding between Mateo and Urias. Both can help a team win, and have specific skillsets. Mateo is an above average defender who's one of the fastest players in the league, whereas Urias is a Gold Glover who can hit for average but not much else. It seems like fans overwhelmingly prefer Urias but I am curious to see if the FO agrees. Elite Speed with good defense vs. decent bat with elite defense. Also seems like most people think Urias would be more valuable in a trade, which I think is correct, that Gold Glove is a big deal, but I'm curious to see what value, if any, Mateo would have.
  21. His stats are very good but my question would be who would he replace? All three lefties in the pen deserve to be here imo, would it be crazy to have a 4th?
  22. Hoping for some more Sunday excitement from Mateo
  23. My softball team had a big night offensively last night, can't help but wonder if Mike had something to do with that
  24. Completely agree, I'm kind of surprised that a bigger deal wasn't made about our success while missing one our best players for 2 months of the season. Coming into this season I think a fair amount of people would have said Ced is one of our best overall players, and probably the most important player on the team, minus Adley. Ceds injuries combined with Mountcastle's struggles/vertigo really make this season that much more impressive
  25. Grayson, Means, Bradish, Wells, Kramer. Doesn't sound bad to me.
