  1. The avg. is pretty darn good, just looks like he hasn't quite found the power stroke yet.
  2. He ran out of gas. Pitched well overall. I think he has changed his approach and how he plans to attack hitters.
  3. Inning 1 F8 (1-0) - started with a ball K swinging (0-2) - started with a strike K looking (full count) - started with a ball Inning 2 K looking (full count) -started with a strike Seed RF (2-1) - started with a strike F8 (3-1) -started with a ball K swinging (2-2) -started with a ball Inning 3 6-3 (0-2) -started with a strike *FB 93 jammed him K swing @ curve (1-2) - started with a strike F9 (2-1) - started with a ball (westburg made it look easy) Inning 4 F8 (2-1) - started with a strike 2-3 (2-2) - started with a strike K swinging curve - (1-2) - started with a strike Inning 5 H GB up middle not hit hard (1-1) - started with a ball K looking FB (0-2) - started with a strike Seed to LF (1-0) - started with a ball 3-6 (0-2) - started with strike *didn't field his position very well 2-3 (full count) - startd with a strike Inning 6 F8 -(0-0) - Westburg easy play BB (3-0) - started with a ball (looks like he spaced out) K swinging curve ball - (2-2) started with a ball HR BOMB - (3-2) - started with a ball - def tired K looking (3-2) - started with a ball He looked pretty good. It looks like he's trying to pitch off his curve and slider. He ran out of gas in the last inning when he gave up the HR. Below are some observations. *kept looking at left hand. maybe blister **trouble throwing CU for a strike ***curve looked good ****slider and curve were thrown for strikes and got a lot of swing and miss *****worked very very quickly
  4. Gonna watch. Just finished work and turned it on in the 6th. 6th he looked OK. First batter I saw was a BB….so I’ll try to keep an open mind when I start back in 1st.
  5. Don’t forget about this guy https://www.milb.com/player/juan-nunez-693725
  6. He probably would if he had a hot start. Seems like all the others guys are blazing and he started off cold. It's a long season, will be interesting to see how things stack up at the end of the year. He finished last year on an absolute scorcher.
  7. Westburg is playing RF today.
  8. Tate came in bot 7th. Flyball left field, BB, bloop to LF, GIDP Stuff looked pretty good, but not a lot of control. Started behind to all batters.
  9. All hitters are trying to drive the ball in the air as hard As they can. Some players are just better than the other ones.
  10. That won’t come into play until game 162.
  11. If they are still rolling they should get a nice bump when kids get out of school in a month + but don’t think we will see serious attendance until late August (assuming they are still playing well).
  12. From the miserable cameras in MiLB & Aberdeen, in particular, plus the few games that weren't available, it's been hard to tell. From what I've seen, he makes the routine plays. Can't wait to see him play in person.
  13. I’m all for it. It’s time for him to come up and get a crack at at.
  14. Until this post I didn’t realize(or had cared to check) how short Prieto is. He’s 5’9” vs. 5’10” Frazier.
  15. The root of all errors & poor contact…..taking your eye off the ball. Plain and simple. Details details details details.
  16. I haven’t seen him play in person yet, so only have seen his ABs. D is tough to judge on MiLB.TV Honestly, I had kind of written him off last year after seeing the lite hitting w/ little power and reading your reports on D & arm. Ive been pleasantly surprised this year. His ABs are phenomenal in the Vavra/Frazier mold and has been a pest all year for AA pitchers. His story is crazy and I have a soft spot for him. I hope for his sake and for the orgs sake he continues in this upward projection
  17. Happy 24th Birthday Cesar!!!! ️ I keep thinking he is older since he came from Cuba but he is precisely league avg. age for AA
  18. I like what Westburg brings to the table. I think they want him to improve his throws and footwork work from 2b/ss/3B. He’s a gamer and is always locked in, but will make a mistake throwing or just not having his feet set-up properly. You ca tell it kills him and you can also tell he moves on immediately and learns from his mistake. Now these plays are not errors per se, sometimes a throw sails or is wide and 1B bails him out or he gets to a ground ball but isn’t properly set up to make the throw and his weight takes him away down the throw. He looks like a guy who doesn’t have these movements come 100% naturally but has worked his tail off to get where he is. If he absolutely mashed I could see him at 1b since his arm is his weak link (not saying it’s bad, just not his strongest tool). I do think that is selling him short a bit, though. He has value in the IF and likely at 2b as his best position. I was hoping he’d be helping the Os by this point. The bat is ready for MLB pitching.
  19. Appreciate all the work you do putting these reports together. Thank You!
  20. Actually looks a touch better.
  21. 3/5 tonight w/a double. BA up to .375
  22. Showing the power stroke. Absolute no doubter mash job. HR #2. This one in Aberdeen. Nice night 2/5 3runs hr
  23. I apologize. I misquoted you. You said my analysis was BS. Not garbage It’s all good, Tony. No hard feelings no grudges. I appreciate you.
  24. I will continue to root for him and expect that he will play better. He is in a funk, and he took it into the field. You only get a couple hall passes for plays like that.
