    I don't either but having a guy throw his better pitches more often doesn't strike me as using cutting edge analytics.

    I remember one time in the service when the guy next to me selected the notified when read option on a mass email. I think it went out to about 200 accounts.

    My point was that lots of players that have a large percentage of both walks and strikeouts. It is a known(except to Philip) phenomenon.

    You have guys in the majors at 19. I think that 99% of the guys that are difference makers in the majors will be fine if aggressively pushed.

    I'd be more concerned with the ability to block balls in the dirt. I think passed balls and wild pitches do more damage than stolen bases.

    The defense would have to be worse than Sisco or Severino before I'd be worried about it if he's the backup. Obviously a point does exist in which the defense is too poor.

    My thinking is that some more time in the minors might have helped him develop and refine a proper third pitch. But in hindsight it probably wouldn't have happened anyway.

    The way catching is it is pretty hard to get someone actually good as a backup. Just not many of them around.

    Brooks put up a .182 OPS in the majors at 18. He turned out OK.

    I'd like a backup catcher that can pinch hit in the 9th and hit a dong.

    The only one of those names that I would even consider the idea that he was negatively impacted by early promotion is Gausman, which is funny considering that he's had a decent enough career to date.

    What do you mean by over rushed? Why do you think over rushing is something to be concerned about?
