  1. I saw him pull up short a number of times when even he could have made a play.
  2. He doesn't appear to be afraid of the wall.
  3. I guess you will. Frankly he looked better in left than he did at first.
  4. Anything strictly age related is going to hurt college players coming out of the draft.
  5. It reminds me of when Dan overvalued ground ball pitchers.
  6. The industry standard commission rate is 5%. Boras looks to charge 10%.
  7. Other than Means, who has appeared to have done a lot on his own, I don't see much in the way of results. Some guys have improved, some have regressed. Seems like every other group. I don't think Elias can spin straw into gold.
  8. The way my pessimistic mind works is that if a guy has four pitches with better than average control and he wasn't protected by his team his raw stuff is going to be poor.
  9. I'd be happy enough with a Givens, Brach or O'Day for three years at the league minimum.
  10. I don't know what you are talking about. I might have to fly up to get that sweet Mr. Trash Wheel swag.
  11. Utility infielders and corner outfielders are up there. Can pick them up off the waiver wire all day.
  12. Pretty good bet that Pop won't spend the season with the Diamondbacks. He was traded to the Marlins. I think Pop has a much greater chance of being a useful piece out of the pen than the guys the Orioles pick have of sticking.
  13. https://www.draysbay.com/2020/12/10/22165614/rays-owner-stuart-sternberg-stinging-criticism-tampa-bay-players-following-world-series-loss He was the main reason I wasn't rooting for Tampa in the playoffs. He's still trying to get Montreal to build him a stadium for 40 games a year.
  14. What I question is if they have better information than the teams who left them off the 40 man. That's the main issue I have with rule V guys.
  15. Actually it's cash neutral since two were also picked. In fact that's probably why they didn't protect Pop...
  16. For me it's #2 behind the amateur draft. Much more to complain about.
  17. He was in his age 23 season the last time he pitched. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=wells-002tyl
  18. You don't get to be the smartest guy in the room by picking chalk.
  19. For what reason? He's had plenty of time to recovery from surgery.
  20. Yep, I'd rather have Pop and the roster flexibility. Of course they might get Pop back or send one or both of these pitchers back. I don't see them trying to keep two rule V players and Davis on the roster.
  21. I guess it's a good sign that other teams want guys we didn't have room for.
  22. All it takes to hit six pages is one of myself, SG, or Roll Tide to get into a disagreement. If two of us are involved 10 pages easy.
