  1. For me it's #2 behind the amateur draft. Much more to complain about.
  2. He was in his age 23 season the last time he pitched. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=wells-002tyl
  3. You don't get to be the smartest guy in the room by picking chalk.
  4. For what reason? He's had plenty of time to recovery from surgery.
  5. Yep, I'd rather have Pop and the roster flexibility. Of course they might get Pop back or send one or both of these pitchers back. I don't see them trying to keep two rule V players and Davis on the roster.
  6. I guess it's a good sign that other teams want guys we didn't have room for.
  7. All it takes to hit six pages is one of myself, SG, or Roll Tide to get into a disagreement. If two of us are involved 10 pages easy.
  8. I figured that once the team moves to Nashville folks will stop worrying about Davis.
  9. Braves tanked for three years (2015-2017). That's only if you consider 90 losses tanking.
  10. Two years? Folks will be bringing up the deferred salary for the next decade.
  11. If a guy signs for second round money in the fifth round I question why he wasn't just selected by a team in the second round.
  12. Play him on the road in every spring training game and then never let him off the bench once the regular season starts. Just act like he isn't there.
  13. I predicted he was going to say something of the sort. Does that count as talking about it?
  14. Why would a national scouting supervisor with the Red Sox take a job as an area scout with the O's? Wouldn't that be a step down?
  15. I've been surprised how much support he gets on r/baseball. Maybe these current statements will change that.
  16. Basically I don't trust the owners to act in good faith. I think they have a real opportunity to work out a deal for 2021 and the next CBA at the same time and instead they are going to flub it.
  17. What I think is going to happen is that ownership will try and leverage this into a more advantageous deal for themselves. I also think that if they play a partial season at pro-rated salary that players will be pretty agitated from the start and will be less willing to compromise.
  18. I know, when I stated it before it was three years. ? I feel pretty confident that I'd take an 80% buyout and be on my way. I wouldn't just walk away from it, they'd have to pay me.
  19. Not if Elias won't promote them.
  20. My hope for Chris this year is the same as last year, that he shows up to camp looking like fat Thor and dares the team to do something about it.
