I've spent pretty much my entire life with people not getting my references. I made an Archimedes reference in front of four co-workers last month, went 0-4. I'm used to explaining myself.

Davis is not a plus fielder. I guess in the nebulous world of first base fielding metrics he might have qualified as plus for a season or two but not at this point in history.

Probably just some sort of a glitch due to the adjusted schedule. No way they would want to air Red Sox games as poor as the team has been.

I don't grade anyone with Mullins' arm a very good outfielder, left fielder maybe but not center or right.

It would have been a horrific show of a lack of respect for all Davis has done in his career to leave him on the bench in that situation. He's earned the right to bat there.

Nope, but I knew my best chance to get on base was to have them walk me or lean into one.

Then why have him working at first base? You like the O's defense at Catcher that much? ?

I don't think the fact that he's a catcher is what is keeping him from being promoted.
