Not so much making an argument as making a general statement. I put it here because I had the thought as I was reading the post above mine. I also never suggested that Elias had anything to do with Gausman being traded. I just haven't seen the type of turnaround with acquired pitchers that we had hoped to see after what the Astros were able to accomplish.

Watching them try and get all the games in will be an interesting spectacle.

Cardinals are going to pitch the same guys over and over. I feel bad for everyone on the team that was trying to do the right thing.

But then you won't get an extra year of service time for a guy that you probably won't want to keep around that long in the first place.
