I think you have folks here that are just assuming that the O's are guaranteed a playoff spot. The Padres missed the playoffs last year, the Mets finished under .500.

Would be pretty sweet if they send him down for a month and then the O's miss the playoffs by a game.

While I've said repeatedly that I don't think the 2023 team was as good as their record I'll be disappointed if the 2024 team doesn't even manage a WC. This team should be good enough that the FO should be thinking about what to do in October in March.

I don't know. Teams get really attached to the idea of Closers. That's a lot of money for the O's to admit they messed up. I think if he does poor but not terrible he stays in the role.

What I don't like about Range Factor is you can be penalized by having highly profient players playing along side of you. I don't think that was the case with Jeter.
