  1. If that's all he's worth they shouldn't have tendered him.
  2. What would you be willing to give up for O'Hearn?
  3. By making a stupid statement, getting called out on it and then clumsily backtracking and starting with personal attacks? You sure showed me.
  4. I've never had to assume a new name to rejoin an online community that kicked me out.
  5. OK, you will be fine if they lose one a game but if that game actually means something it wasn't because of the game you were willing to lose. Ironclad SG logic.
  6. I don't think he's got a real shot at the Cy Young. Wouldn't it be funny if they did exactly what you suggested and finished a game out the Wild Card? Almost as funny as when Adley won a full year of service time.
  7. What safety? I've lived in Norfolk it's not safer than Baltimore. You don't need to be in the minors to work on defense. Do you honestly think that Jackson Holliday is going to get rattled if he struggles a bit? Is that an actual concern for you? How is that for sure not going to happen if he spends time in AAA and then struggles?
  8. You NEVER KNOW. You just don't. My argument is simple, can they learn what they need to learn in the majors? Do they improve the team?
  9. Told you, for a lot of them it isn't a matter of readiness it's a matter of service time manipulation. They don't like just calling it that. Lots of players, HoF caliber players, were in the majors as teenagers. Lots of players, HoF caliber players, skipped AAA. Was Machado a better prospect than Jackson? Made his debut at 19, skipped AAA and had never played the position they put him at. He turned out OK.
  10. I think for most of them "not being ready" is a what they say when they mean they want 6+ seasons of team control and not 6.
  11. Sure. Lots of moving parts, lost of possibilities. I'm just saying the best alignment on defense might be Gunnar at short and Jackson at second.
  12. I'm going to disagree, it's about maximizing both offensive and defensive production. If Mayo becomes a solid average 3B the best team alignment has him at third even if it isn't the optimal defensive alignment, since his ceiling on offense is so much higher than say Westburg.
  13. Gunnar being better at Shortstop and Mayo being able to stick at Third. If Mayo can stick at Third that puts Westburg into a super utility role.
  14. Maybe Jackson is a harder sign if you tell him you drafted him to play second.
  15. Sometimes it feels like someone is.
  16. Could have been spin. Could have misjudged him. The development of other players could have changed the plan.
  17. Which isn't something you said before. But that's OK, we are used to you pivoting.
  18. Tanner Scott wasn't blocked.
