  1. So .255 with 33 bombs is a stud?
  2. I'd prefer better than fine, but I don't think that's as plentiful as you do. I'm more worried about other positions.
  3. And yet his end of the year numbers are...fine. Sorry you don't find his game aesthetically pleasing.
  4. I had no idea that utility infielders put up a 115 OPS+
  5. Kjerstad over Basallo is a bold take. I'm not sure I'd do that even if you guaranteed me Basallo won't stick at Catcher.
  6. Oh, so it looks like Maryland beat #10 Illinois. 76-67. On the road even. Cool.
  7. I don't think you can extend any of them if you are only going to be willing to spend for one. Who would do that to themselves? If a Snell level deal keeps them from doing anything else they weren't going to do anything else anyway.
  8. Hey guys, they signed a free agent! Let's show 'em how much we dislike it by signing big free agent contracts with teams that aren't them! I just don't get the logic. If I were a member of a sports team I'd be stoked they brought somebody in during the offseason in order to improve the team. If I were an Oriole I'd be stoked that ownership authorized them to spend the money. I don't want to sign a long term deal with a team that only has the money to sign me. Oh, I can sign a ten year deal here and watch all of my teammates get traded away when they get expensive? Cool. That sounds like a good career choice.
  9. How does signing Snell force a one year window? It doesn't. The only thing that might do that is trading for an expiring contract.
  10. The post of mine you had issue with was responding to someone who was pretty obviously not talking about a FA signing, since a FA signing isn't about going all in for a single season.
  11. Iron is cheap. I'd rather have bronze.
  12. How can you go "all in" for a one year bump with a FA pitcher? You planning on signing Snell to a 1/40 deal? Signing a "premium" free agent pitcher isn't a one year "all in" move.
  13. He's also under control (at a very reasonable price) for two years.
  14. How is trading a reasonable package for Cease "going all in for a tiny % chance one year"?
  15. That's a trade we won for sure!
  16. And it might be a positive impact.
  17. He's older and getting expensive. Unlike you I like prospects, they are young and cheap.
  18. I send you guys Mullins in a heatbeat.
  19. Sounds like he'd consider Adley or Gunnar. I'm not sure Jackson has enough power.
  20. Am I: In a field in which I know I'll get a chance to make that type of money in five or fewer years? In a field in which actual standings exist and matter to the employees? In a field in which this individual is going to be employed at that rate for the opposition if they don't join my firm? I don't know about you but I don't get upset at my co-workers good fortune. I worry about me.
  21. Have you thought about moving the walls?
  22. Heaven forbid the clubhouse thinks the team is willing to spend money to improve the team.
  23. And that's post broken neck age 31-32 Reimold. Pretty safe bet he was faster when he broke in.
