  1. I don't get it why guys complain about hitters swinging at strikes. Are you supposed to just fall behind in the count? How often does that work out? I'm guessing here but I think the average result when a guy swings at a first pitch strike is better than the outcome when they fall behind 0-1.
  2. He's kinda hilariously slow. Considering his lack of foot speed, high EV and low launch angle I'm shocked he doesn't hit into more double plays.
  3. Both billionaires in the finical sector, near the same age.
  4. It's the perception. Even if Mullins was super into fried chicken and loved talking about it you wouldn't ask that question. By no means am I upset about it or trying to make a deal out of it, but I wouldn't have done it. I'm also unsure why you think it's a false equivalency, but probably best not to delve deeply into that.
  5. What if he asked Mullins his favorite place to get fried chicken?
  6. I said similar stuff during the offseason and was just labeled negative. Even without the injuries, even with a more talented team, the 2024 team was unlikely to win as many games.
  7. It tracks the difference in run expectancy. Each pitch is tracked as a separate incident.
  8. Which is fine, but folks here are acting as if the producer is somehow biased against the O's, which is ridiculous. To be honest, what you are asking for is way too much work for what is I believe one person to do. I'm just thankful they make this resource available to us.
  9. Why would the Umpire Scorecard guy mess with their methodology just to make it look like the O's aren't getting screwed? Use some common sense folks. It might be accurate, it might not be, but we have no reason to think it's biased against the O's.
  10. Is there evidence that leadoff hitters get more fastballs?
  11. But they play down to the competition!
  12. Three of the six are in the bottom third in payroll, the Guardians are spending less than the O's. KC is right behind the Guardians and they are 20th. What exactly are you crying about?
  13. Back in the 90's? Sure. I just checked, first year of interleague was '97, I could see him going in '97. I do think he'd be in a luxury box tho.
  14. Honeymoon period. I don't recall but I wouldn't be shocked to find out that Angelos was more visible in the early years. It's easy to show up in New York, let's see him in Cleveland!
  15. I hear you but I don't think he's the problem, it's the fan's expectations that's the problem. Nick never came close to his 2008 season again and he never got this level of grief.
  16. He didn't manage that.
  17. Do the Dodgers get Ohtani back as a starting pitcher?
