That's very true. And I don't know enough about the current state of their minor league system to know if they'd be comfortable rolling those dice or not. It would certainly be a deterrent for many.

KInda feels unfair to mention Bergesen like this and imply his flunking out of baseball was tied directly to Adair. If I'm recalling correctly, injuries did him in far more than anything else. But the rest of these guys went on to have some measure of improvement once Adair was out of the picture. So yeah.
