  1. K% is a thing. But low BB% is better. Weak EV is best?
  2. Mullins is swinging the bat well right now. His LD rate is up and his PU rate is down. If that continues, he's in for a really good offensive year. The last time he was able to keep his PU rate down this low was 2021. K% is a small question mark. But if it comes with power in the 6 or 7 spot, I'll take it. It's a SSS and can regress quickly. But we're now seeing what we've wanted to see the last 2 years.
  3. Gunnar got 2 months. But who knows how much longer because that's all it took.
  4. Wouldn't shock me. Do you recall if Irvin has gone more than 2 times through before in tight games?
  5. I didn't understand the ridicule. Seemed like a good dice roll as a LHH at PPACY in a post-shift game.
  6. Another loud out by Holliday. They'll fall at some point...
  7. It'll help you fill out an Immaculate Grod one day. Many baseball fans like trivial tidbits.
  8. Good book, bad movie. It's ok to embrace your inner nerd!
  9. Holliday with a tough out. Gunnar with another smash. Let's go Afley!
  10. Ton of pitchers have done well in that class. And the best wasn't taken until pick 126. Plus quite a few are evidence in favor of SP aversion early in the draft. Especially in a rebuild. But Tork wasn't there at #2 and the actual guy wasn't listed as an option. HK was a good pick. Especially when packaged with Westburg and Mayo.
  11. EBJ is one of 4 O's prospects the top 30 of all qualified MiLBers in SwStr%. Josenberger, EBJ, Tavera, and Vasquez.
  12. Yep, that's why I said back at A+. AA was a head scratcher last year for him.
  13. Just scrolling through MiLB leader boards and noticed that Ethan Salas started back in A+.
  14. Buxton, Kiriloff, Lewis, Correa... probably a few more. But talk about an org snake bit then embracing the injury risk.
  15. Strand rate is 59.5%. Probably trend towards up. BABIP against is about .100 higher than career norms. HH% and pull% are higher than norm in the SSS. Looks like the 4S getting hit a bit. Maybe they're ambushing him or a sequencing issue. Nick Pollack is still a believer.
  16. Soto dropped a bunt to get on in front of Judge.
  17. I'm glad we miss Joe Ryan.
  18. Are those upper 70's/low 80's pitches his CB or a Sweeper? Good vertical break, burying the pitch down, and nice MPH gap between his FB.
  19. Good to see a solid swing to the pull side gap. Then off to the races! I wonder how his bat speed and how long his bat stays in the hitting zone compares to Arraez and that type of hitter...
  20. I was in the bleachers yesterday. My take was that Holliday got a late look and at that point made the right call to just get the out. I dunno... Whether or not it's on Holliday, it's like the scouting report is to push Holliday's defensive chops just to see...
