  1. A few hard hits and loud contact that inning.
  2. Touĝh luck.... Everything would have been outs in OPACY.
  3. Red Sox playing the R/L game too.
  4. I guess it's a good low/mid-level litmus test for the "tough lefty" scale I suppose.
  5. Will it be Holliday or Mateo?
  6. My bad. This was about Irvin, not Means...
  7. PSA: 90-92 MPH is pretty normal even for good LHP. Plenty of things to point to in his profile with concern, but I don't think that's the red flag people think it is. The 4S has been hit hard in the 28 times he has throw it though. A little worse run value than the CH. Career worse K% and BB% has led to a bad WHIP too.
  8. Poor wording on my part. Just happened to be there... Last time I was there was 20 years ago. They have a ton of Marijuana places around there now mixed with the bars. Mixing suds and buds is a dangerous combo.
  9. Do you mean lack of OPS? Because he's squaring up the ball fairly well. A lot of red on the Savamt dashboard.
  10. I stumbled into his debut at Fenway last year. He's an athlete for sure. A little uptick offensively and he'll add a ton of value. Kudos to him!
  11. They can't all be hot at once... but these are my questions at this point: Holliday's acclimation Hays vs. LHP Santa's lack of barrels Cedric's HR happy/high FBswing
  12. I highly foubt PIT trades Bednar in 2024. They are a playoff caliber team. Agree with @ThisIsBirdlandabout Hays. But let's see how things go for another few weeks.
  13. True. But looking forward, one or more of those slotting in behind (ahead?) Kremer would be great.
  14. OBP still matters. Especially to the guy up next.
  15. Good chance we see it this year. Especially after the rosters expand.
  16. Is this where the "who's up next?" conversation takes place? Urias loses the bulk of his PAs. But would they rather have him on the bench or work to get a prospect PAs? SSS LHP splits are still a concern. Cowser seems to be in the strong side for now. Will they play Cowser, Westburg, and Holliday for the bulk of games going forward? Will they accelerate the Rookie Integra Plan by adding a 4th higher ceiling to pay the rookie tax? If so, when? NORFOLK SLAUGHTERHOUSE option: Mayo - Dam the torpedoes, full steam ahead with the big O (offense for you dirty birds)! Bumping Westburg to a utility role? Or max DH time with O'Hearn in spot RF duties? TEAM BUILD option: Norby - I think he'll be a fine LF option or playable RHH 2B if Westburg is the 3B. He could be some type of Hays/Urias role. Fits nice with minimal impact if Westburg is core for '24. BROKEN ROADS: Feels like these are buried for now... HK - back to Mounty/O'Hearn/Santander at 1B/DH/RF. Tough role to break into on this team. Stowers - same deal. LHP splits are a positive considering the team's struggles.
  17. Elias giveth. MLB disunity taketh away... So much for fan appreciation!
  18. Is this autocorrect from no-stride?
  19. And Adley, Gunnar, Grayson, Hall, Stowers and Ortiz to varying degrees.
  20. You're putting a ton of hope in the owner change and less in the ongoing concern of risk/reward management. It's exciting. Enjoy.
  21. If a championship isn't a fair goal to demand, then what measurables would you have Mr. Rubinstein put on Elias?
  22. We do have stars. Adley and Gunnar are already stars. Jackson and Grayson won't be far behind. Wins, flags, and rings are bigger statements than marquee signings. It'll be interesting to see if they go with a Norfolk Slaughterhouse roster build with more known risk factors or if they ratchet up the risk factor with long term TOR contracts to supplement the core for a traditional build.
  23. God took 7 days to create the universe. Elias took 11 days to fix the Orioles woes against LHP. Not too shabby! Who's else need to be fixed vs. LHP? Hays? Mayo and/or Norby should be fast followers for Urias and/or Hays.
