  1. Mariners trade Walker to Toronto (I was in the camp that really wanted to sign him for this reason). Let's see what effect, if any, this has on Cobb's market.
  2. I agree. I do hope the Orioles keep him. Just trying to get into Elias's head as to what he ay be thinking with other outfielders coming up the pipeline.
  3. I agree. Though it is possible that his value may ever be higher. I say that hoping I am wrong, but he did not hit the cover off the ball in the minors, so as good as he has looked, this or even something close to this us probably not sustainable. In the end, he is probably a .775-.850 guy, which is very valuable, but I do wonder what it could get us now with him red hot.
  4. I wonder if Elias would listen to calls concerning Santander. For the record, he is my favorite Oriole and I don't want to trade him. He has three years of control after this year (correct?) and we still have Diaz, Mountcastle, Hays, Mullins, Stewart, and eventually Kjerstad in the outfield. Do you think it is possible that Santander is traded? If so, what would you expect him to fetch in a trade?
  5. Agreed, I'd be happy to move him. He's cheap and controllable though. Would be interesting to see what they could get for him, and then let Sisco and Wynns/Holaday be the catchers until AR is ready.
  6. If Severino isn't DL bound, he would be a solid pick up for a team. He won't sustain a near .1000 OPS, but he should be an .800 plus guy the rest of the way. Yes, his defense is questionable.

  8. I wish I could say this was Davis's last at bat as an Oriole. Oh I wish I could say that.
  9. The Orioles: We are trying to win every game this year and see what happens in a short season, you never know. Also the Orioles: **Startd Chris Davis and Dwight Smith Jr regularly.
  10. Gottatake at least two of these games.
  11. 100% I would be thrilled if Diaz or Mountcastle came up to play left every day. Let Velazquez start against tough righties or on off days for his defense. We just don't need Smith anymore.
  12. I am really, really over Dwight Smith in left field and at the plate. Seems like a great guy, and he has had his moments, but can his defense really be so much better than Mountcastle's that he should continue starting every day?
  13. I wondered the same thing! Great minds...
  14. Too bad for Bichette, he is going to be a STUD. He is already. Big advantage to the Orioles not having to face him.
  15. Good. Unless they start to really struggle, Nunez, Severino, and Sisco should be in the lineup together (and over Davis) at least 5 times a week.
  16. Lol. I noticed the other day he hit Sisco 7, Davis 8, and Hays nine. When for many reasons, it would have made sense to bat him ninth for L/R reasons and because Hays is much better than him. I think they are woried about hurting Davis's feelings batting him ninth.
  17. Yet I'm sure we'll see him in the lineup today batting eighth, and going 0-4 with two strike outs and two weak ground outs.
  18. There is literally no good excuse for not playing him everyday. He can rotate with Severino between catcher and DH, with Nunez getting the majority of the starts at first base.
  19. Riiiight, liking an announcer is completely, 100% objective, and there is no room for subjectivity in such an analysis!! ?
  20. I think it had a TON to do with Davis being up. Sure, the shifts and whatnot helped, but if Santander was batting from the left side, and there were shifts, this likely does not happen. That said, I loved the play, especially with the awful Davis up at bat. Almost worked.
  21. Ah, I like Miller too. Great voice. My top announcers for the Orioles in my lifetime is still Palmer as color analyst and Thorne for TV and Angel for radio.
  22. Hunter is an acquired taste lol. I did not have cable growing up, s Hunter's voice reminds of me of being seven or eight years old, coming home from day camp, and listening to an Orioles game in my room. It's more of a nostalgia thing, but I like him. Even though he's cheesy as hell.
  23. That is totally fair. He works great with Ben. Last night's broadcast especially was a joy to watch as the two of them interacted well.
