My heart voted yes, but my brain thinks no.

The only way there is validity to this, at least validity that is beyond just regular speculation, is if these guys privately told Palmer something.
This is exactly what popped instantly into my mind when reading......

Just a one fans reaction from watching O's games on TV......
Lopez obviously had a great statistical half, and there is no doubting the stuff.
But he just never gave me that gut feeling he was hard as nails, like you want to see in a closer. I have zero stats or quotes to back me up, like I'm saying, just a gut feeling. Am I saying he'd wilt in October if he got knocked around a few times? No idea.
As to the return, no clue about any of the pitchers. I trust Elias & Co. to have sorted that out.

You have no idea how happy this makes me, Tony. Godspeed, my Oriole Brother!

I love the Orioles and this 2022 team. Underdogs with the lowest payroll in the league. And now we are closing in on a playoff spot.
A month ago I would have said you just finished smoking a fat one.
This is a damn fun team to watch!

Oh my god Melanie.... "You trade them when they're high"

Cubs didn't trade Contreras or Happ. Weird.
I'm shocked..... The only reason I can think of for not trading Contreras is they plan on offering QO and didn't value any trade packages higher than the comp pick? Or maybe they want to take a run at re-signing him? I agree, weird.

Yankees must be getting Pablo Lopez. Or maybe not. They just don't want Judge in CF anymore?

We just need a fake Ken Rosenthal or Jon Heyman account on Twitter to start a rumor now.
I almost got taken in by one of the fakes that said we traded Urias to the Rays and Santander to the Red Sox.

Ummm....why?
Hmmm, outfielder being traded? But wouldn't that be Stowers called up?
Confusion. Scratching of noggin.

I am going with the prediction of Santander to the Guardians in the final hour.
Oh, the irony, trading a player back to the organization they came from via Rule 5.

Just when I thought I was back in, they pushed me back out. Oh well, back to the Ravens, see you again in a few years.
The O's Hangout is not an airport. You do not need to announce your departure.

Oh My God is the camera crew drunk, high, incompetent or all three? This is horrible.

Another Rutschman twice on base game and it's the 2nd inning.
As a former pitcher, AR at-bats are the stuff of nightmares. Don't give in, he won't chase. Give in, 100+ mph laser somewhere.

Wow, this camera angle and crew is terrible in Texas.
I had a terrible time watching in Cinncy, especially the first game.

Ugh. Melanie..... Cedric entertains and AR ropes one, bad luck to change broadcast now. Im stuck.

That doesn't mean they're close to contention. There's still a fairly long way to go.
This.
Right now is a pleasing pile of cherries on top of a generous serving of ice cream over a wide pour of gravy. Smiles all round. But the plan has to remain the plan... We've got to stock the cupboard even though we've had a surprising bounty of green beans from the garden this spring.

I've gone from very high on Mountcastle to yeah, I'd let him go for the right price. Love the guy, when he's raking, it is a thing of beauty and joy. But his pitch selection is very poor, and unless he forces pitchers to give in and throw him a strike, he's going to be flailing (like he currently is) more than raking. A streaky first baseman with decent counting stats, but a poor OBP, eh, them be a dime per bakers dozen.
Making Mayo a 1B might be wasting his plus arm. A free agent might make sense? Keeping Mancini is an option and resigning over the off season.
My attitude on this subject has definitely become fluid and my mind is open.
2 days till August and the O's have a winning record. (Smile)

Damn, this team is fun to watch. My icy heart is melting a bit around the edges, and the cocktails taste just a tad better.

Another beautiful AR at-bat. Nicely done, Sir.
-
If he makes to the ballpark, I'd venture to guess we'll see him as a pinch hitter at some point. Wouldn't want to start him vs. Cy Shane tonight.

It's been something watching AR climb up this list after his coolish start. The C position went from black hole to one of our best position bats. His AB's on MLB.tv have become must-watch. It's like every pitch he sees just gets added to the Terminator-Style Heads-Up-Display in his brain.

Dreaming of logging into MLB.tv and seeing the line up. 3B Henderson, 2B Vavra. Yes, please, and could we put a rush on that order?
