  1. Broxton/Davis back to back is the black hole of MLB lineups. Where hits go to die and a SO is more commonplace.
  2. Wasn’t sure of your syntax, so.... https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/06/yankees-acquire-edwin-encarnacion.html They did.
  3. Yes, his defense did him no favors. I thought up until the last inning he had great stuff. Very close to being a solid start.
  4. Encouraging because he looked awful on breaking stuff last year. An abundance of riches is a good problem to have.
  5. Yeah, I’m sure there’s a lot of hand wringing in San Diego.
  6. I’m sure the Padres will trade him straight up for Hahn-sair.
  7. Broxton is ok, but he’s average. I’ve already seen him misread balls and takes questionable routes.
  8. Based on his 34 games played? Little soon.
  9. Nah, not talking about that. He’s more athletic than people (or, you) give him credit. Like his approach at bat, too. I’ve seen him be bad, but his athleticism could give him a shot. Hey, wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong.
  10. Can’t believe it. He may be overdue for another rough patch.
  11. With what do you disagree? I like Stewart more than most here, but Santander has an opportunity. That’s all I’m saying.
  12. Stewart was the correct choice based on his numbers at the time in Norfolk, but Santander may play himself into a roster spot.
  13. I liked Mike better. Good, solid baseball name. Heck, one of my brothers is Mike. Giancarlo sounds like a male model.
  14. Yeah, I’m not sure it was that good.
  15. Zach Davies with a gem vs Pittsburgh. Another finesse pitcher who doesn’t have a ML career. Sure am glad they got a few months of Gerardo Parra for him. Well, worth it. ?
  16. Well, that’s better than Straily who’s very bad and always will be. Serviceable. And he gave up two hard hit balls today. The second run was scored on an off-the-end-of-the-bat squibber that went for a double. Two earned runs over 5IP isn’t great, but it’s acceptable.
  17. Wieters has played in 17 games. So, they are giving Molina a bit of a break in the games he’s started.
  18. Matt Wieters OPS is 1.121. Ok, it’s 35 ABs. So, what?
